La Badira — The art of almost There’s a particular kind of disappointment reserved for places that almost understand luxury. Not the loud kind. The quiet one. The one that leans in and whispers: “you could have been exceptional.” La Badira lives in that whisper. --- The seduction phase It starts strong—convincingly so. The arrival is smooth, transactional friction reduced to zero. The room? Composed, balanced, intentional. And the bed… the bed does what great beds do—it erases the day without asking questions. For a moment, you think: ah, they get it. The bones are there. The language is fluent. --- Then the accent slips Because luxury isn’t a moment—it’s consistency. And this is where things… unravel. Food first—because it deserves the blame. At this price point, you don’t serve anonymity on a plate. Buffet-heavy Generic Forgettable to the point of insult This isn’t Tokyo-tier. This isn’t even trying to be. And when you’ve benchmarked yourself against places like Tokyo hotels, that gap isn’t subtle—it’s philosophical. --- Service: willing, but not weaponized The staff aren’t careless—they’re unequipped. You feel it immediately: No anticipation No rhythm Just reaction under pressure It’s not bad service. It’s incomplete service. And in luxury, “almost” is failure. --- Weekend reality check Then comes the weekend—the great revealer. The hotel stretches beyond its elegance: Parking spills into the garden (yes, the garden) The calm dissolves into something closer to managed chaos An adult-only hotel should feel curated. Controlled. Intentional. Not like it oversold serenity. --- The spa paradox (now with nuance) Here’s where it gets interesting. Inside the massage room: Calm Competent Genuinely relaxing You exhale. Finally. At the reception: You’re put on standby Another guest jumps ahead No acknowledgment, no permission And just like that—the spell breaks. It’s the perfect metaphor for the hotel: execution exists… but awareness does not. --- The small betrayals Minimalist amenities are fine—if they’re precise. Here? Items missing Replenishment inconsistent You have to ask And the moment you ask, luxury quietly exits the room. --- The Tokyo comparison When you place this next to high-end Tokyo hotels, the difference is brutal: Tokyo runs on systems → invisible excellence La Badira runs on effort → visible strain One feels inevitable. The other feels negotiated. --- Final note This is not a bad hotel. That would be easier. This is a beautiful hotel… carrying a 4-star operational soul while pricing itself like a 5-star philosophy. And that tension? You feel it everywhere.

Excellent unforgettable stay!

Good experience in general. It's a big all-inclusive hotel at the beach front. Even in April which is low season the hotel was quite crowded. We liked the staff, everyone was smiling and helpful. We bought an all-inclusive package, and the food was good. The room was spacious and had a corner balcony, with a nice view both to the sea and the city. Pillows were comfortable. Weather wasn't very nice, so we didn't swim in the sea (the beach looked good, though), but tried the pool: it seemed to be big enough, and the deepest end was as deep as 1,8 m. As to the minuses, I would say that the hotel needs some renovation: the rooms and the corridors feel weary. Our bathroom smelled bad, and on the first day we saw a bug there (possibly a cockroach). Although room service had been done every day, it's hard to say that we got an impression that our room was clean. Also worth mentioning a night bar in the next hotel: one night very loud music played until midnight, and we heard it very well from floor 4 with the balcony doors closed. We didn't face a lot of problems in low season, but I'd say the parking looks a little bit small given the hotel is full.

Excellent stay! The staff were friendly and professional, the room was clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. Great location, delicious food, and outstanding service. Everything exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

It is a great hotel. The location of the hotel is particularly good and the environment is beautiful. You can watch the sunrise and sunset from the balcony. The hotel has its own private beach and is very quiet. The hotel is very close to the old town and walks 20 minutes to Madina. The service is warm and thoughtful. The best is the restaurant, the hotel double room provides two people with a special rich breakfast and dinner for free. In short, everything is beyond expectations, especially recommended

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely amazing experience From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional, and the service was excellent throughout our stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The resort itself is stunning, with a beautiful atmosphere, great facilities, and a fantastic beach. The food was delicious with a great variety, and everything was fresh and well presented. What I appreciated most was the attention to detail and how the staff made us feel welcomed and comfortable. It was the perfect place to relax, enjoy the beach, and have a wonderful holiday. Definitely a 5-star experience from start to finish. Highly recommended, and I would absolutely come back again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hotel location is good, there are several restaurants at the door, breakfast is OK. The facilities are a bit old, there is no toothpaste toothbrush, etc., you need to prepare yourself, the service is good. The pool environment is very good

The hotel personnel is outstanding. I loved their professionalism and dedication. Special note for the desk personnel who welcomed us with professionalism and kindness, and listened to our claims with a smile and reactively acted in consequence. The customer service manager (Haifa) is also great. The rooms are very clean but the furniture are quite old for a 5 stars hotel(some broken wooden stuff...) Biggest weakness: 1- The lunch/dinner menu was exactly the same and we had to rise a claim for that. The next day was satisfying tho. 2- We had to pass by an open door area to go to the indoor swimming pool during a cold time which was very uncomfortable (got a cold after that) 3- Booked an all inclusive and still need to pay for the gym? why?

Disappointing for this price and for a 4 stars hotel. Room was barely acceptable, clearly not cleaned below the beds, no glasses, no towels, soap and shampoo containers almost if not empty upon arrival and were not filled at all during our stay. Towels were a nightmare to get: sometimes just enough, sometimes missing one, sometimes missing two. Getting an iron was a battle and forget about laundry service. Requests were not always met with a nice answer, they painted a room next to ours taking no precautions, getting the smell far into ours. Lunch was excruciatingly expensive for the area, forget about it. Included breakfast and dinner were OK. Location was very nice, although the surroundings are a bit dead..
