I was a guest in this hotel, between December 22 and 27. I booked an Elegant Queen Room. However, I have to say that there is not much elegant about it. There are no slippers in the room. Air conditioners external units are placed literally two meters from your windows, and as you can see, and there are so many of them. I strongly recommend buying earplugs before checking in. The room was 517, so if possible please avoid it. One more thing. Me and my partner had sexual intercourse, and in one moment, I saw a person one floor above, clearly visible through the windows. That's not even other apartment, it is some unfinished space, that looks ruined. The curtains simply were not fully pulled, my mistake, but I didn't expect to see random person above 😅 There is no locker, so your things would have to be placed all over the room. Staff is very nice, and super kind. Expect warm welcome every time you move by reception desk. I bought some sausages in local market, and I asked the staff if they would keep it in the fridge for me. They accepted. However, I forgot to take it when I checked out. I asked them if they could send me the package to my city, and they did it promptly. Good service, truly. The breakfast is one of the best I have ever seen in a hotel. Location is very close to the Bund, Financial center, and subway station (line 14, Yuanshen Road) is almost opposite the hotel. All together, room is definitely subpar, and it doesn't justify the price. Everything else is near perfect.

I especially want to commend the quality of the hotel's front desk staff. Ms. Starry Cui was exceptional, confirming guests' needs even before booking. The check-in process was seamless, and the room was prepared exactly as requested. During our stay, she also proactively checked in to ask for feedback, and she handled our check-out arrangements meticulously. This hotel is our go-to whenever we visit Nanjing Road. It's grand, with traditional Western decor, and everyone from the doorman to the cleaning staff is incredibly polite and courteous, making our stay very comfortable. It truly embodies my ideal 'Shanghai-style' hotel.

Our stay was wonderful! The room was spotless, and the view from the window was absolutely beautiful. The comfort was all-encompassing, from the perfect indoor temperature and humidity, lighting, and soundproofing, to the excellent shower water temperature. The welcome snacks and fruit were a lovely touch too. Any specific needs we had were met promptly. A big thank you to the service team, especially Lynn, Minnie, Vivian, and Lily from the Guest Relations team. It was a truly delightful experience!

The facilities are complete, and it's clean, hygienic, and comfortable! It's right opposite the terminal building, and I didn't notice any airplane noise. It's very convenient for late-night pickups or arrivals. The front desk staff were very friendly!

Mr. Lin Feng was verrrrry kind!! One of our friends lost her phone and he helped us a lot finding her phone!! The hotel was really clean and the location of the hotel is amazing. It’s right in the middle of the every place where you should visit in Shanghai. It was awesome!!

The service provided by the front desk was excellent. They are so helpful even helping us to reserve a table for dinner and make an appointment to see a doctor. They provided us with directions and guided us how to book a Didi etc. They also helped me collect parcels on behalf and sent any food delivery up to my room via the robot. It's so convenient. In addition, they also provide unlimited mineral water both at the lobby and room. I stayed at the second floor where the restaurant and laundry room is at, hence it's so convenient for us. Love the laundry facilities with free detergent. I hope there are more varieties for breakfast and supper as I got bored after a few days. Super are limited to porridge and freshly cooked noodles. The breakfast area can be crowded at certain times and takes time to find a table. You can asked for containers to pack the food back to room if you doesn't want to eat there. The room is big and clean. The location of the hotel is not near the metro station hence you can only take Didi or their shuttle bus. Although there is a shuttle bus to Nanjing road but still need to walk a distance to the shopping area. The mall opposite hotel is called 香港名都 mall, there is a supermarket, haidilao and a number of eateries.

The front desk service was excellent, especially Even Sinnie and the concierge, Coke, who proactively helped with our luggage. The hotel offers great value for money and convenient transportation. There's also a lovely Christmas atmosphere now. Overall, it's a great choice in every aspect.

Staying at this hotel was a truly satisfying experience. First off, the location is incredibly convenient, just about a 50-meter walk from Nanjing East Road Metro Station, making getting around exceptionally easy. It's also very easy to catch a taxi right outside the entrance. What truly impressed me was the exceptional and thoughtful service from the hotel staff. When I arrived early, the front desk proactively upgraded my room for free. After checking in, I found the room a bit cold. The staff not only patiently offered solutions – either providing a space heater or changing rooms – but also enthusiastically helped me move my luggage to the new room. As an apology, the hotel even offered breakfast vouchers, a genuine gesture of care that left a lasting impression. Furthermore, the hotel's soundproofing is excellent; I wasn't disturbed at all, even though my room was right next to the elevator, ensuring a very peaceful sleep every night. Overall, from the location and service to the accommodation experience, everything was impeccable. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Shanghai.

Location- walking distance to the NJ shopping district. (Easy to navigate, 10mins slow walk) Staff- Very helpful with luggages, parcel locate. Service recovery was prompt- room had ventilation issue. Service man came once in the day, and reassured us it’s normal. However comparison to our friends’ rooms, air flow was different. We called service desk at 11ish, despite an aloof response from a female staff, the guy who later attended was prompt to offer a change of room immediately on checking out the situation. I requested for assistance for our friend who has fallen ill with their luggages, they were able to assist. Space- very spacious. Hotel has affiliated transport company- transfer to airport was cheaper than Didi and ride was comfortable. Setback: Flight of stairs up the hotel lobby. Not easy to climb for elderly or those with leg issues. Toilet area is open concept. When dressing, can be inconvenient if traveling with friends.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Manli Hotel in Shanghai. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt calm, comfortable, and welcoming. The rooms are beautifully designed, stylish, and absolutely squeaky clean — you can really feel the attention to detail and care put into the space. The staff truly made the experience special. The receptionists, Xiao Yang and Mia, were exceptionally kind, professional, and helpful, always greeting me with a smile and making sure everything went smoothly during my stay. I was also very grateful for the late check-out, which was kindly arranged for me and made my departure much more relaxed and comfortable. The hotel overall has a very soothing and pleasant vibe, making it easy to feel at home. While the breakfast could be improved a bit — especially in terms of vegetarian options — and the gym isn’t in the best condition, these were minor points compared to the overall quality of the stay. Thanks to the excellent service, comfortable atmosphere, and beautiful rooms, I would happily stay at Manli Hotel again and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a calm and well-maintained place to stay in Shanghai.
