The hotel's location is excellent, just a 10-minute drive from the high-speed rail station. They even provide a thoughtful pick-up service. Check-in was quite fast. The room itself is very spacious, perfect for a family of three, with a large bed measuring 1.5m x 2.0m. The Wi-Fi connected automatically without a password, which was very convenient. Breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of options. There's also free parking right in front of the hotel. Overall, I'm quite satisfied!

We brought our parents and children to Wanda for a summer getaway and stayed in the Jin Hua suite. Our whole family was very satisfied. From before we even left, customer service representative Xixi sent us real-time updates: the weather and temperature in Changbaishan, available activities, how to get around, and so on—every detail was handled perfectly. They reserved a spacious room for us and allowed a late check-out. The service was prompt and responsive. Xixi and the housekeeping staff were incredibly thoughtful, providing plenty of drinking water and toiletries. This really showcased the genuine warmth and generosity of the people from Northeast China. We had a wonderful time in Changbaishan at a pleasant 22 degrees Celsius. We look forward to visiting again!

The environment is fantastic, very clean, and well-equipped. The hot spring experience was also incredibly relaxing. Breakfast offered a great variety, but what truly stood out was the service. Right after check-in, a butler was assigned to us, ready to answer any questions and provide helpful reminders. There was even a dedicated shuttle service for the hot springs. Any issues we encountered were promptly resolved by the staff – their service-mindedness was truly impressive! The hotel's exclusive access to Changbai Mountain was very convenient. Overall, it was an excellent stay, and I'll definitely be back!

One whiff and I nearly cancelled the stay on the spot. Room Rescue Cue Mr Hong Dejian—calm, English-speaking, and clutching the keys to redemption. He patiently showed me alternative rooms until we found one that didn’t smell like a poker night. Had I left, I would’ve missed what came next. Comfort Food = Home Dinner delivered a miracle: stewed chicken with potatoes and mushrooms. One bite and—boom—mummy’s cooking. After days on the road, I finally found food in China that tasted like home. Tail wagging resumed. Care Beyond the Call Mr Hong returned with a portable heater, pointed out city landmarks, and even taught me how to take a non-reflective photo (yes, this dog learns fast). His easy friendliness softened the edges of dirty window panes and mostly Mandarin-only staff. I even showed him the ink-black towel after wiping the window—evidence, not barking. Menu Meltdown & A Win At the restaurant, I was handed a Chinese-only menu after saying I don’t speak Mandarin. I hit the roof. To their credit, reception listened: I received a call from the lady boss, and the issue was acknowledged. Then a hero appeared—the restaurant lady, who patiently translated dish names so I could choose lunch and dinner without guesswork. Gold bone earned. City Interlude: Jilin Catholic Church Between meals and meetings, I visited Jilin Catholic Church (吉林耶稣圣心堂)—a quiet pause from hotel hiccups. The church offered a moment of stillness, a reminder that even on a bumpy stay, the city holds pockets of grace. Logistics That Worked Back at the desk, the reception lady manager efficiently arranged my transport to Wusong Island—quick, competent, and reassuring. Breakfast & The Fine Print Breakfast surprised me in the best way: healthy, balanced, a thoughtful mix of local and Western dishes. One final bone to chew—early booking didn’t pay off as prices dropped later. A truly Winning Hotel would honour the lower rate at check-in. Verdict Despite communication bumps, this is a solid winter hideout: good Songhua River views, comforting food, and fast service when it counts. Stayed with my family during Chinese New Year. We booked a club suite and a club king room. The rooms were a bit dated but generally well-maintained. The club rooms come with executive lounge access. The light meals are served in the lobby on the first floor, and while the selection wasn't huge, it was convenient. We had a butler who added us on WeChat, recommended some local attractions and activities, and helped arrange transportation, showing good service. If you're bringing kids for skiing in winter, definitely book a coach in advance via the mini-program.

The hotel service was absolutely wonderful! When we checked in, the front desk saw we were cold and immediately offered us warm bottled water. Our room was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. When we went to the hot springs, the staff member managing the area was so enthusiastic. She constantly reminded us to be safe and even specially guided us to try the outdoor hot springs, which was a 100% amazing experience. Despite the cold weather, we truly felt the warmth and hospitality from the hot springs staff. She even helped us take a group photo – fantastic! 👍 Breakfast was also excellent, with delicious food and even frozen sliced pears. Next time I come to Changbai Mountain, this hotel will definitely be my first choice.

Beyond five-star! I was traveling with my child and mother, and we ultimately chose this place. What a delightful surprise! The environment is fantastic, and my child had a wonderful time. Manager Coco especially deserves 200 points for this trip. She was incredibly enthusiastic and helped coordinate everything. Manager Coco was warm, patient, and provided thoughtful arrangements throughout our stay. Her travel tips and suggestions were super practical, and she responded instantly to any questions. She's both gentle and professional. The hotel environment is comfortable, the scenery is beautiful, and the stay experience was excellent. I highly recommend it, and I'll definitely look for Manager Coco on my next visit!

This hotel is excellent! We're foreigners, from Russia, and it was our first time visiting Songhua Lake. The New Story Suite Hotel made us feel right at home. All the staff were incredibly kind. There are so many fun spots in this hotel! Games, karaoke, and a restaurant are all on the -1 floor. I have three kids, so there were plenty of things for them to do. It was super convenient to bring the children here. My favorite part was the massage. I especially loved Mr. He (He Ruiyou). His hands are truly amazing! We'll definitely stay here again next time! (Original Russian review also provided): We stayed at this hotel during the New Year holidays with our large family (5 people: 2 adults and three children). We rented a large room, which was cozy and clean. We all felt comfortable in this spacious room, and there were enough beds for everyone. We loved everything about this hotel: the friendly staff, and the cleanliness was top-notch – we walked barefoot in the room. You can request room cleaning as needed. Downstairs, there's a hot water pool. The water is changed every three days. But what I liked most was the Tesla shuttle service to the mountain. And the most wonderful thing about this excellent hotel is the masseur He Ruiyou (that's his name in Chinese). After a day on the slopes, a massage from Mr. He is exactly what you need. He is the best masseur I've ever encountered.

My stay at Lavande Hotel was absolutely fantastic! The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, making the check-in process smooth and pleasant. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortably laid out, and the soundproofing was excellent – I couldn't hear any outside noise at all, which made for a very restful sleep. The hotel's location is superb, offering great access to transportation and dining options. It's perfect for both business trips and leisure travel. I'd definitely come back again.
