Holiday Inn Express Changbaishan

Good amenities nearby, food choices aplenty, connected by free shuttle to ski slopes, service impeccable. Comes with a free entry to nearby hotsprings and a free ski pass. You only need to rent ski equipment with a $4000/- RMB deposit if you arrive without ski equipment. Would especially like to commend hotel receptionist Vita who readily facilitated a checkout extension of 2 hours. Highly recommended experience overall at Wanda Holiday Inn Express Changbaishan.

the hotel service is super bad check in wasted many time we inform the person say we already make full payment keep asking us pay 1 more time . i dont want waste my time i make payment when i check in after i check out i received email for refund. the is cannot accept so bad system cant check payment record also wasted time to explain .if not pay why i received email for refund payment .

Location is OK. The hotel is not the closest one to the amenities of the station. Breakfast offers many choices but it is very average quality. The staff is helpful (even if no English)

I can only warmly recommend the hotel. The ski slope starts in front of the door. The ski tickets and your equipment can be taken over at the hotel. The service was nice, friendly and professional. I especially want to thank Yue Yuan, who was always helpful to us. She speaks very good English and made our stay particularly pleasant!! Thank you so much!

Expensive for beginner skiing.

So if you are coming here, you are going to Wanda Ski Resort. There are so many many hotels in the area that it really doesn't matter so much which one you pick. Holiday Inn is one of the furthest away from the resort, but the price reflects this. However, it is still only a 10-15min walk (even when it's cold and icy) from the resort. The hotel is busy, there will be wait for the front desk, this is why service got 4/5, but the actual information from staff was okay (no English though so god bless my Chinese partner) The hotel has a mini cinema, a restaurant and access to the ski slopes. You can hire ski's, snowboards along with all the boots and clothing required so you don't need to worry about that. In the hotel is the rental place, you rent your gear and you simply walk out of the hotel and you are at the ski slopes. Please note this is NOT the same 10min walk to Wanda ski resort, the hotel has its own access to the mountain and you use that. The restaurant is fine and breakfast was a buffet with mainly Chinese but some western stuff too. The room, it's not large, but not cramped. Very warm, we even needed the windows open at -40C outside to avoid being too hot. There is a mini supermarket in the hotel, but a better 24 hour store across the road. I think for the money paid compared to other hotels, its very good value. Maybe other hotels have bigger rooms or more restaurants, but as every hotel is next to each other, I wouldn't bother paying more to get one closer to the resort as you can save thousands of RMB for a 1 min walk. And as most of your time will be spent in Wanda ski resort, you won't be in your room much. I doubt I would return to Changbaishan / Wanda Ski resort as an area, but if I did, then as long as the value was still there, Holiday Inn Express is a good enough choice

This location is fantastic. There is a lift right outside the hotel and the runs on this side are far better and less busy than the other 'main' side. It also has its own bunny hill for beginners. Huge breakfast options and we were surprised to find that rentals and lift pass were included in the room cost for the duration of our stay!

Positives: - the price for the hotel included equipment rental, ski passes, entry to the water park and hot springs - shower is hot and has a good pressure - the room is warm - the hotel is right by one side of the mountain next to the lift - provides free airport shuttle and shuttle buses between spots around the mountain Negatives: - the cleaning is not good - lighting in the room is just terrible - lack of information about what’s included/rules/service policies and etc.

The Hotel is very dirty. They did. They did not clean our room throughly.
