We really liked the ”Happy Traveler.” It's so centrally located, really nice, and decorated in keeping with its name. The rooms were suitable for single travelers, but with a large bed; really good, and everything was very clean and included toiletries. The rooms face the inner courtyard; the windows have shutters on the inside to reduce noise. It gets loud outside in the courtyard in the evenings because people sit there and party. The hotel warns about this beforehand, and every room is provided with earplugs. My opinion is, you either go out partying late yourself or you can handle it, because it's really loud 🙃 The breakfast is plentiful and excellent! The staff is very friendly!

Not bad, but the city tax is not very accurate. I was charged 8 euros and the software showed that I had to pay 7.4 euros.

Great location to explore the city, conveniently located near big supermarket (Jumbo). Easy connectivity, bus line in front of hotel. Quick 15 min walk to the central station. Staff was helpful with storage of luggage etc.

Conveniently located just off the highway exit, it's about 2-3 km from the city center, so having a car is recommended.

When I was about to check out, the receptionist told me that I hadn’t paid the city tax, even though I had already paid it in coins when I checked in. I was surprised at first, but it turned out that the receptionist who checked me in had forgotten to record the payment in their system. Fortunately, everything was sorted out. All good! The staff were very kind and gave me a lower bed because I can’t climb to the upper bed.

Despite this hotel is a bit far from the city, it has given us the farm staycation vibe that we need. The room is huge! We selected Executive King with view. And yes the view is just breathtaking 🤩 there are two types of view; Sunrise (facing road and greeneries) and Sunset (facing lake) both are equally amazing! Also bustop is just outside abt 10 mins walk to bring you to the central. The plus point here is there’s a huge lake and a green landscape where you can just take a stroll or rent a bike at the hotel. Not forgetting the indoor swimming pool!Highly recommended for those needed a relax vacation ❤️

The hotel is right in the centre of Veendam, and whilst it's not luxurious, it's clean and comfortable. The bar is excellent, their own beers are also very good, and there's a wide range of others available should you prefer. The food in the restaurant was also pretty good, being tasty and generous. We'll certainly be back!

Very good located hotel. Good for a short weekend trip or a city trip to Groningen. They have a parking area underneath the hotel which costs extra but generally much less than parking on the streets. The rooms are spacious and have everything thing you need. Would be nice to have a fridge though but all in all everything you need for a city hotel. The service is very friendly they have good recommendations for the city and also plan activities or restaurant reservations if you would like to. All in all 100% recommend for staying in Groningen!

Nice place. Very good hotel for business or family trip. Quiet, good localisation, clean, friendly staff. One small problem - work road next to the hotel.

Wat een heerlijk hotel! Een hele fijne, zeer ruime, kamer een, volgens mijn puberzoon ”droomdouche”. En onwijs vriendelijk personeel. Wat een verademing om mensen met liefde en enthousiasme aan het werk te zien! Wij (mijn zoon en ik) hebben de traditie om 's avonds de dag/nacht af te sluiten met een ”toetje in bed eten”. Helaas was de keuken al dicht, maar de de kok ging toch nog een bordje vol lekkers maken, hóe lief is dat dan!!!! Parkeren in Qpark op 3 minuten lopen en even ver van het heerlijke Groningse.centrum Wij hadden 's nachts de roosters van de ramen opengezet, fijner voor frisse lucht dan airco, maar merkten al snel dat je dan wel wakker wordt van de studenten (aanname) die nog even gezellig napraatten op straat. Kan het hotel niets aan doen, dus de tip.... roosters dicht of oordoppen in. Ontbijten in de tuin was een feestje!! Kortom, voor herhaling vatbaar
