"Was a nice hotel at a great location in Vang Vieng with a beautiful pool. Staff was also very helpful especially Dej who was super kind to assist us with booking our train tickets. Only downside of the hotel was the shower which oscillated between hot and cold water but that may have just been our room."

"This is a gem of a resort! We still talk about our stay here. Probably, one of the best pools I've been in. The views are incredible, the breakfast is sumptuous, the rooms are exceptional, and the spa is fantastic! The ONLY drawback I can think of is the (approx 15 min) walk back from the center of town (we felt very safe!) Getting to town center is not an issue as they have a shuttle service (5-7 drive) But if that is not an issue for you, then just go and stay here and you will not regret it"

"I chose Thavikun Hotel for my trip to Vang Vieng this time, and my overall stay exceeded expectations. The hotel's location is very convenient; you can experience Vang Vieng's unique karst landscape not far from the hotel, and the surroundings are relatively quiet at night, so you won't be disturbed by noise. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable, and it had good lighting and ventilation. The facilities were complete, with everything you need for a daily stay. The front desk staff were friendly, and both check-in and check-out were smooth. They also patiently answered any questions I had. After a day of exploring, it was nice to relax comfortably. I'm very satisfied with this hotel and would consider staying here again on my next visit to Vang Vieng. I also recommend it to friends traveling here."

"El hotel es bastante nuevo y está limpio. En nuestro caso tuvimos varios problemas en nuestra habitación y nos cambiaron 3 veces. Primero muy mal olor a desagüe y luego la siguiente habitación sin agua caliente. La última estuvo bien. El personal muy servicial y cordial pero la gente de limpieza nos golpeó la puerta dos mañanas seguidas a las 8:30 am e intentaron entrar aunque teníamos colocado el cartel de no molestar. También encendían la aspiradora a esa hora. En cuanto a la ubicación es muy céntrica pero todas las noches se escucha música muy fuerte de los bares vecinos hasta las 00:30hs El desayuno buffet ok La gente de recepción muy cordial y dispuestos a ayudar Muchos huéspedes chinos con las puertas abiertas de las habitaciones todo el día. "Location is super convenient, the tuktuk from the station dropped us off right there. Unfortunately the evenings were extremely loud until around midnight to 0:30. Apart from the noise the rooms were good, comfortable and clean. There is no elevator. They have laundry service and good breakfast. Can see the hot air balloons from the balcony area."

"This was an experience that exceeded my expectations. The hotel was absolutely stunning, built right on the water, with the river and mountains blending seamlessly into the view right outside the door. In the mornings, you can breathe in the freshest air and witness a breathtaking sunset. There's even a morning alms-giving ceremony on the river (which feels a bit commercialized). Dinner was ordered at the hotel, but the next day, they inexplicably added extra dishes and charged extra (this was unpleasant), even informing me that ice was also charged. Since I had to go to the next place, I didn't have time to argue."

The hotel is not quite new, that is obvious. The mirror on the room was missing, broken out by force. There is no WiFi except in the reception area. The photo of the building shows balconies at all rooms on the photo side. But my room had none. There was no daily room service. For the rest it was okay. Well maintained, clean, quiet inside and mountain view from the windows. Small fridge, AC, full working bathroom. (Long waiting for warm water) The breakfast buffet was great. The swimming pool in front of the entrance was good. The seating area around poor. I really missed a bigger and nicer area, perhaps garden like around. Especially for I had no balcony. I would go there again for sleeping and having breakfast. But for holidays I want to have a decent place outdoors as well.

We stayed in the deluxe villa for 2 nights and it was well worth it. Just chilling out on the deck and having breakfast whilst enjoying the rice field with the mountain as the backdrop is just magical. Not only was the setting but the bed was comfortable, the room was very cozy, aircon in good working order (as the heat can be unbearable during the day), amenities, shower etc were all perfect. I couldn’t get the TV working but it did not bother us so much as we were enjoying the peace and tranquility. I highly recommened waking up at dawn and take a walk through the rice fields to soak it all in whilst noone is around. Perfect time to meditate or do yoga during the summer season. Staff were also very welcoming and friendly, and would attend to our needs when required. And f you are in two minds between here and a hotel in town, I’d say here is by far more exceptional.

One morning, we were treated to the magical sight of hot air balloons drifting across the sky, adding an extra layer of wonder to our stay. The location couldn’t have been better, providing easy access to local restaurants and cultural sights. The friendly and attentive staff ensured our comfort throughout our visit, making us feel right at home. The stay was okay, but unfortunately the staff were not very friendly and didn’t even greet guests, which made me feel unwelcome. Also, the prices for renting a scooter were almost twice as high as at other places nearby. Overall, it was fine, but I expected a warmer atmosphere and fairer prices.

Wonderful hotel! Cozy, clean bungalows. We had a bungalow with a magnificent mountain view from both the bathroom and the balcony. The bathroom has a Jacuzzi tub, which we used several times and really enjoyed! The room had all the amenities and was quiet. The hotel is generally located a bit off the main road, so it's quiet on the property. The only minor issue was the limited food options at breakfast. There aren't many guests at the hotel, so it seems they only set out a small buffet and don't replenish it once the food runs out. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would gladly come back again.

Absolutely amazing stay - it's clear that the owners take pride in their hotel. The pool and pool area is incredibly clean. The breakfast is fantastic, fresh fruit (varied and lots of it) contained in a fridge (so fresh, cold and no bugs like a lot of other hotels). Option of cooked breakfast every morning (eggs your way). The gentleman running the hotel is so helpful, he booked several tours for us, getting us a good price and being patient when we changed our plans several times. The communal areas are incredibly clean, the staff are always working hard doing something for the hotel. The location is excellent - walkable to everything in Vang Vieng, near some nice restaurants (Green, Vela, beats and bites). Everything in the room worked perfectly. The shower had great pressure and great temperature. Bed was extremely comfortable and the TV was loaded with apps to watch TV (we used Plex as it had English language shows and films). The bathroom has soap, shampoo and fresh towels daily. The rooftop is amazing, we actually used this instead of going to rooftop bars. The hotel sells beer in the fridge at reception. Highly highly recommend this hotel. Genuinely we could not find any fault with this hotel at all, we over heard many guests booking to stay extra nights expressing how happy they were with the stay at the hotel and the breakfast.

The hotel is a little away from the city centre. Clean but not super neat. I stay there with kids which I found the place is not very suitable for me since they allowed their guest to use large speakers until 11 pm and it was in front of my tent. I told them to manage but I lastly need to get involve and confront them myself to sort it out. Not very well managed on this matter but they tried to do everything to apologize in the morning. The hotel was ok the view was exceptional only if they manage this a little bit better would be superb place to stay. [I stayed there late of the year it might be the party timing may or may not occur all the time of the year]

Vang Vieng is a small town, and you can easily walk everywhere. It rained the entire time I was there, so I didn't get to see any hot air balloons. However, I could see longtail boats passing by the hotel's riverside every morning. I didn't visit any of the further attractions because I thought it would be unsafe to go into the mountains with the rain. Overall, it was a good experience; even with the rain, enjoying a Lao hotpot in town was quite nice.

Very nice and clean. The bed is comfortable and the wifi is strong. There's more than enough deck chairs around the pool and on the rooftop to lounge at, and to watch the countdown fireworks that the staff launch from the entrance. The staff is very friendly and welcoming every time I walk past the lobby. The location is very convenient and the breakfast is very worth the price. Other than the buffet on offer (which rotates daily), you can still choose an item off the ala carte menu. They also allow refilling of water bottles at breakfast, which is great for both the wallet and the environment. Activities and laundry service that they offer are also priced pretty conveniently. I'll definitely stay here again should I come back to Vang Vieng.
