O quarto estava limpo, com muitas toalhas e comodidades para fazer chá e café. A seleção de travesseiros era macia e firme.
O restaurante era agradável, embora metade dos itens do cardápio não estivesse disponível, o que foi um pouco decepcionante.
O café da manhã tinha uma boa seleção de itens, incluindo ovos com bacon, panquecas e cereais, além de sucos e bebidas quentes.
O hotel fica a cerca de 4 km do centro de Cambridge, mas é facilmente acessível a pé, de táxi ou até mesmo de scooter/bicicleta elétrica.
Stayed 3 nights so that we could visit family and friends in the area. Booked a twin room which had adequate space for 2 of us and separate area with small table and chairs if needed. Beds were comfortable and the room was warm (once I was shown how to activate the heating) Unfortunately the bathroom was very cold as the hotel boiler needed repair so the radiator wasn’t working. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay. The hotel is quite dated and in need of an upgrade which is on the planning. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially when I realised I’d left my own personal pillow on the bed. They tracked it down and a friend collected for me the next day. Definitely stay agin when next in the area.
It's a beautiful, modern hotel that feels more like a cool apartment. The rooms are stylish and have a kitchenette, which is really handy.
The best part is the amazing co-working space. It's perfect if you need to get some work done. There's also a great coffee shop and restaurant inside.
The staff were very friendly and the whole place has a relaxed, stylish vibe. Highly recommend for a trip to Cambridge
Perfect little place to stay at a great price. Scrupulously clean, friendly staff, free parking, and including a tasty breakfast..... and only a 20 min straight walk to the town centre. Can't fault this hotel except the roomy bed was maybe a bit hard for us. Apart from that, perfect. Would definitely stay again, and highly recommend!
There was a polish lady at the reception - she was AMAZING! EXTREMELY helpful, friendly, professional. I have stayed in many hotels, also international and 5 star - and she is TOP! One of hte best receptionist I have ever come across. The others were so-so, sometimes unfriendly or not organized, but she made up for all their failures and was EXCEPTIONAL.
The door to my room was faulty - so the cleaners never managed to go inside and clean my room while I stayed there for 3 nights, and not all cards worked - so cleaners jsut did not bother to go inside- which was disappointing. Also, the soap dispensers do not work well - very hard to get any soap out. - needs fixing properly.
Stayed as close to Huntingdon Racecourse as where our cycle ride was starting. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was small and a little tired, the shower was OK, no flexibility with it, so had to wash my hair, which had only just been cut 4 hours ago. The breakfast was cereals, toast, packeted croissant, tea, coffee and fresh fruit juice. Really good value for the price. When booking the initial price changed which was frustrating, but still extremely good value for a last minute booking.
My stay at Novotel Cambridge was extremely disappointing due to serious cleanliness issues.
Upon checking into Room 205, I discovered visible blood stains on the duvet. This is not a minor oversight — it is a basic hygiene failure. Clean bedding is the absolute minimum standard any guest should expect. Finding blood stains immediately raised concerns about the room being properly cleaned and inspected.
I reported the issue and was informed that the bedding had been cleaned again. However, when I returned to check, the stains were still there. This was both frustrating and alarming, as it suggested a lack of proper quality control within housekeeping.
Only after escalating the matter was it properly addressed. Charlotte, the manager, eventually upgraded us to an executive room and provided complimentary breakfast, which I appreciate. However, this does not change the fact that the initial room condition was unacceptable and should never have happened in the first place.
An upgrade is a service recovery gesture — it does not erase the hygiene concern or the distress caused at the start of our stay.
I hope the hotel seriously reviews its cleaning procedures and room inspection standards to prevent future guests from experiencing the same issue.
Unfortunately, based on cleanliness alone, I would not rate this stay highly.

LLaomaidangI've stayed at this Hilton in Cambridge twice now, and both times it felt so welcoming. I booked the same river view room, and it was still just as comfortable and cozy. The front desk and restaurant were all the same, nothing changed. What did change was that this time I drove myself, and the parking was £26 a night – quite expensive! We walked to several Cambridge colleges and the shopping street, all within about ten to fifteen minutes. Cambridge feels much safer than London; you don't have to constantly guard your pockets or clutch your phone here. The breakfast was superb.
GGuest UserThis was the largest room I stayed in during my UK trip. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to Trinity College and King's College in Cambridge city center. The area around is very quiet, and there's a supermarket about 100 meters away, so you can buy groceries and cook your own meals. There are also fast-food burger places nearby. Transportation is very convenient; you can take bus route 1 from Cambridge train station and it drops you right at the hotel entrance. When I first checked in, I found the cleanliness a bit lacking, especially the long sofa. However, after exploring the Cambridge University area, I realized that the entire Cambridge seems to have this damp, slightly old-fashioned feel. The shower was very comfortable, and the bathroom was also super spacious.

GGuest UserThe room was really small, quite tiny actually, but it was perfectly adequate. Its location right by the train station is super convenient – literally a 2-minute walk. There's a Sainsburys Local and a sushi place right outside. The hotel itself has a bar called Chill on the ground floor. I didn't try their meals, just a cake and hot chocolate, which I wouldn't recommend as the cake was quite dry around the edges. There's a decent Indian restaurant within a short walk nearby. If you head towards the city center, it's a 10-15 minute walk with restaurants all along the way. I was actually surprised to find a hand-pulled beef noodle shop, and even places specializing in malatang and roujiamo! Overall, I had a great impression of Cambridge!
SSah sah travelsStayed at Novotel Cambridge North recently and had a really solid experience overall. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference.
The facilities were impressively clean, especially the swimming pool and sauna - both well maintained and relaxing to use. Breakfast was more than sufficient, with a great standard full English buffet that was always topped up quickly, so nothing ever felt picked over.
Location-wise, it’s just a 4-minute walk from Cambridge North train station, which makes getting in and out incredibly easy. The connections are excellent, and having a Co-op right opposite is really convenient - especially since the hotel itself is a bit removed from other shops and amenities.
Overall, a comfortable and well-run stay, particularly if you’re travelling by train or need a quieter base just outside the city.
GGuest UserThis is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at in the UK, much better than other £100 rooms in other cities. The environment is excellent. It is located right opposite the river where we could walk around, and there was a beautiful backyard where guests could sit and enjoy food and drinks.
The breakfast they offered was very nice, with plenty of choices. It was very peaceful and enjoyable just spending the morning there; you can really feel how a perfect morning should start in Cambridge.
The staff was also very helpful. They carried my luggage up and down the stairs during check‑in and check‑out.
As for the location, it is just a few hundred metres away from the River Cam and other viewpoints, most of which you can reach on foot. Other than that, the facility was well equipped, everything works perfectly without any malfunction happened.
Overall, it was a great experience staying there, and I would definitely recommend it to others if I get the chance.
GGuest UserThe hotel is a bit far from the main Cambridge University area, requiring a bus ride, but it's still very convenient as most Cambridge attractions don't have parking, so taking the bus is the usual way to get around. The front desk staff were also very friendly and patient in answering questions. While early check-in wasn't possible, they did offer luggage storage. My only minor complaint is that there was no phone signal in the hotel, so I relied entirely on Wi-Fi – though mobile network coverage across the UK isn't great in general.

GGuest UserRoom was really clean and breakfast was great.. room lighting can be better though, room is a bit gloomy. Only accessible by car / taxi and no convenience stores around the area. I ordered food in the bar for dinner and when I asked if it can be delivered to my room, the reception guy asked for my room number and then said they can’t but when the waiter gave me the food on my table he asked if I want to take take it to my room and gave me a tray. When I passed the bar holding my food, I heard the reception guy said to the waiter “you gave her a tray? it would be a long walk” (it isn’t really coz my room is close to the reception) — so the reason he said they can’t deliver it to my room was apparently because it would be a long walk (disappointing). Other than that, my stay served it’s purpose.
