I initially overlooked the peeling paint on the walls and the lack of disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste when I checked in. But then, at breakfast, I picked up a small steamed bun, and as I took a bite, I saw mold spots... that's just unacceptable! The chicken also tasted sour, which is something I absolutely cannot tolerate!

The location is fantastic, right in Lujiazui, making it super convenient to visit attractions like the Oriental Pearl Tower. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was incredibly soft, so I slept really well. The staff were super enthusiastic and always willing to help. Plus, the hotel facilities are complete, the restaurant food is delicious, and the gym equipment is new. The price is also affordable, offering excellent value for money.

The location is great; you can find the hotel directly by taking the elevator from the city train line, which is super convenient for catching early morning flights. The room was thoughtfully equipped with earplugs, and both the environment and hygiene were good. Guests staying at the hotel also get a discount on the buffet dinner, and the food was decent. The only thing is, I'm not sure why my room didn't have Wi-Fi connectivity. I could see Wi-Fi signals from many neighboring rooms, but just not from mine. 😂

The front desk was great; they offered a free room upgrade and complimentary breakfast. The hotel's airport shuttle service was also very convenient. The room itself was nice, clean, and hygienic. Breakfast started early, which was perfect for my morning flight, and the shuttle departed for the airport right on time, making travel super easy. I'll definitely book here again next time.

The Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai, a five-star luxury hotel under the European Kempinski Hotels group, is ideally situated in the heart of Shanghai's Pudong Lujiazui financial district, close to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and Shanghai Ocean Aquarium. The hotel boasts excellent service from its front desk, rooms, and restaurants. The guest rooms are well-equipped, thoughtfully laid out, clean, and tidy. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options, and the hotel also features a selection of Chinese and Western restaurants. The river-view rooms offer a fantastic perspective of the cruise terminal on the North Bund. With numerous dining options in the vicinity and convenient transportation, it's an ideal hotel for both leisure and business travelers.

Facilities: The Executive Room in the West Wing has a smart toilet 🚽. Cleanliness: Clean and tidy. Environment: Divided into West and East Wings, accessible via an indoor corridor. Outside, there's a small garden, which is quite nice. Service: Excellent service. We received a large cookie 🍪 and drink vouchers upon check-in. The Executive Lounge's afternoon tea and evening happy hour light meals were both great 👌.

The hotel is a bit far from Pudong Airport. The shuttle to the airport runs hourly by bus, and it takes about ten minutes to get there. The hotel's hygiene and facilities are pretty good. I was given a room on the first floor, very close to the lobby, so I could just open the door in the morning and head straight to the airport shuttle bus.

The room was comfortable; although the facilities were a bit old, it didn't detract from the overall experience. The lobby had a strong Christmas vibe. My return flight was late, and the check-in staff kindly helped me arrange a late check-out, which I really appreciated. The location is excellent; the Pudong Art Museum had a new exhibition, and it was within walking distance, saving me the hassle of traffic. Public transport was also very convenient, and there were plenty of options for dining out or ordering delivery. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Shanghai. Location is pretty good if you want to be near 上海站, but I’d say there’s not too much in the immediate vicinity (within 1km). However, still amazing value for money, beautiful clean hotel rooms, and friendly staff! (btw photo is of the Bund, not the hotel)

The front desk staff were professional and welcoming, completing our check-in efficiently in just three minutes. They proactively informed us about our room's orientation and local travel tips. They even remembered our casual mention of wanting a 'quiet corner for afternoon tea' and kindly directed us to the hotel's sky garden. The attention to detail was impeccable.
