The stay in Villa Meridiana was a charming experience, suspended in time. If you fit for the absence of TV or other electronic comfort, original furniture tells stories of another era. The villa has only four rooms – each dedicated to a great figure of the Salentine culture – and makes you feel like a guest in a private residence. The terrace around the villa admire the blue sea where the ionic and Adriatic are mixed, while the park smells of pines and Mediterranean flowers. Ideal for those who want to listen to silence and sea.

Located on the beach, out of the city, it's easy to drive. The sea view restaurant has a nice view. The room is decent, not small, and the environment is beautiful. Recommended.

Hygiene: very clean Surroundings: Because the hotel belongs to the resort, not in the city center, in the suburbs about 15 minutes walk from the city Facilities: Ideal for a holiday, with a swimming pool, SPA balcony is also very suitable for sunbathing, that is, the hotel says there is a private beach, but even 9 kilometers away, you have to pay to go! You must know that there is a free blue sky and blue sky for 15 minutes on foot! ! Service: It took the front desk nearly two hours to find my order. GGuest UserUnfortunately this was a stay of two halves, and I wish I'd heeded other people's low reviews about the host's attitude before booking.
The place itself was lovely. A cute, clean little room that seemed authentic and had some nice finishing touches. The area around was beautiful and it's a great location.
I was excited to see the room description, stating a spa, billiards room and other amenities that would account for the higher cost of this place.
I saw the warning that the booking was non-refundable but took a punt.... I was wrong for doing this. Soon after booking, I received the first of many messages stating the jacuzzi in the photo was an extra 209 euros, which was apparently written in very small print, the large fridge in the photos was just for show and alongside this were given a set of house rules including not being allowed to eat in the room!
I didn't like the attitude from the messages and I tried to cancel, over 2 weeks before our stay, but was refused.
Cut to the day of stay I was sent another set of rules, this time warning us that if we change the temperature of the air conditioner or any other settings then ”the consequences will be on us”, it also told us to re-read the rules carefully and reminded us we couldn't eat or drink in the room. Self-check in was simple, although on the website it states there's a front desk and luggage storage on site... There isn't. It was 39 degrees outside and 27 inside.
I messaged saying that in the heat setting, 24 degrees, was too warm and asked if we could lower the temperature, she refused, I asked for a fan, she pretty much accused me of lying, saying it WASN'T too warm, and after a long and draining conversation she ”allowed” us to change it to 18 degrees.
After this, I tried to be civil and she responded with some suggestions of places to eat and visit. We ”respected the people who work for you” as she demanded in the messages.
The apartment was equipped with basics but for the price, would have expected extras like small toiletries or glasses for water.
It all went well until the last day on check out, I suggested some things to make the stay better such as a friendlier manner, trash cans in the room and more toiletries, as this was quite an expensive stay. I suggested she revisit the description of the hotel and that she didn't send ”the rules.”
She didn't like this. In all honesty, the woman, I believe, is a narcissist, and can't take responsibility for her mistakes. She wouldn't accept there were areas for improvement and when it came to asking for help that linked to her apartment, she took it as a criticism on her part and went on the attack. She sent a final message which was copied from one previously sent, so this suggests she's had similar issues before. I had to block her because she wouldn't stop messaging me!
I have all the messages saved and complained to trip.com who have been extremely helpful.
If you want to stay in a nice place, this is lovely, but there are similar ones out there with nicer hosts.
Don't give this rude lady business.
I never did get to play a game of billiards.

GGuest UserLocation is excellent, right on the waterfront of the old city.
The hotel itself is very grand so to speak, spacious rooms and large public areas. It is becoming a bit old: Not necessarily run down, but dated. There's a bar area behind reception which looks like it's never seen customers for ages, the breakfast is a bit meager for a hotel of this size but then again Italians don't do big breakfasts. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

In second room there were no air so we ask to move to another room ( in that room was pregnant women), they asked us to wait for day after, and they changed, but by the end they asked for change 20 euro
And in the third room we noticed that the close room can look inside the bath room . We complained about it and they said the they are not the bosses .
I refused to pay until the boss will came but he ignored us.

Ppaulrob200A very comfortable stay at the BellaVista. It lives up to its name with superb view of sea on both sides from the room, which was very spacious! Breakfast was a very basic continental one with limited options. Located 200m from the old town area with has Beach of Purity. Plenty of restaurants around making location perfect for a relaxing few days. Didnt check out the rooftop spa.
Photos are of castle which is directly opposite hotel and beach nearby.

TTimothyThe place was minimal but had everything you needed. Breakfast in the morning was to say poor at least (pre prepared from packets) no ham/cheese.. only jam and packet croissants with toast.
Ideally close to the small harbour with local restaurants, but NO parking allowed on-site.
I thought the place was totally in-personal, but very crisp in the tiny bedroom.

DDiamantiniBeside being overpriced like all the facitlities with some little availability during high season and last minute bookings, I must say staff was nice and truly helpful, mostly a nice lady at reception.
Rooms are so so, more like a 2/3 stars hotel, pool is nice and a big plus but in puglia in summer…missing a little gym it is a pity, breakfast just basic (and in italy u cannot expect basic about food) again like maybe a 3 stars. To be nice.

GGuest UserThere is no lift its an old place but quaint the owner is a nice helpful. I had young noisy up stairs guests that screamed at 3 am and didn't have any respect for others until I told them off. I told the owner he had a word with them too. I stayed in the second lot of units nearer to the cathedral and castle . Great spot.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located in a strategic point, a few kilometers from Bari, Polignano and Monopoli. You have to move by car as it is located on the highway. In front of the hotel a breathtaking view with the sunset over the sea. Excellent service, everyone very kind. Excellent breakfast made on the terrace on the sixth floor with a view of the sea.
