"The Hotel is an old building renovated well to be a clean nice and new 4 star hotel . It is located in the heart of St. Petersburg and near all attractions. The staff are friendly and helpful. The reception is located on the second floor, and there are stairs at the entrance (about 12-14 steps)between the entrance and the reception . During daytime they have concierge service to help with the luggage. The hotel Elevator to the rooms was added to the building and fitted in a way it stops in between floors, so you must either climb or go down half a floor every time you go to your room. It is not that bad if you can climb the stairs . I think the hotel is not suitable for a wheelchair. The breakfast is good and starts from 7:30 am to 11:00 a.m . We enjoyed staying at this hotel."

The experienced staff will be happy to see every customer on any day. The payment is made in cash and with the help of plastic cards.
"Матрас был продавленный с двух сторон, спали каждый как в гамаке. Просьба заменить матрас не увенчалась успехом. Не смогли дать бокалы для вина в номер и нож, чтобы порезать фрукты. Шумоизоляции нет, слышен был разговор как из коридора так и через стену туалета, хорошо, что горничная недолго что-то обсуждала на узбекском в соседнем номере. Завтрак за 850 рублей, оказался не самым лучшим, так как не было кофе из кофемашины и блинчики были холодные. Официанты выглядят, как будто они из 90-х. Блинчики явно просто мне подогрели, а не приготовили новые. Убеждали меня, что лучше пройти в столовую, так как повар один и ему трудно. А то, что в баре можно отдельно оплатить кофе, об этом мы узнали при отъезде, и кофе был не из арабики 100%, а из микса. Парковка работает с 6 до 23-00. Сторож парковки в один из дней повёл себя странно, не выходил пока ему не постучали. После чего вышел недовольный, говорит: вы поехали далеко, я номер не увидел». И заставил сдать назад. И нужно обходить все здание, так как почему-то нельзя войти в здание с внутренней территории. Около входа в гостиницу были бесплатные места в выходные, это удобно для разгрузки вещей из машины. В будни все занято на парковке у входа. Рядом ресторан UNO, там вкусно и приемлимые цены. Лучше, чем в отделе 4 *. Массаж со скидкой в будни мне понравился Балийский. В сауне тоже посидела немного, входит в стоимость проживания. Расположение окон на тихую улицу, приятно. Иногда автобус по утрам стоял на остановке, но недолго. Кондиционером не пользовались, но хорошо, что он есть."

They let us check in an hour early, which was a very pleasant surprise! 😊 The room was good and well-equipped with everything you need: bathrobes, slippers, toothbrushes, a kettle, coffee, and tea. However, the cleaning before our arrival wasn't thorough. There were black hairs on the bathroom floor, which was a bit disappointing. Daily cleaning was provided, and the water, coffee, and tea were replenished every day. The breakfast was excellent, but if you arrive around 10 AM, finding a seat might be a challenge. Sometimes we were asked to wait 20 minutes because it was fully booked. I popped into the beauty salon on the ground floor to get my hair styled for an event. My hair was already washed and wet. I just asked them to dry and style it with a hairdryer. I have a bob above my shoulders. They charged 3500 (Ruble), even though the price list indicated a different amount. I didn't bother to dispute it as I was really short on time. Overall, I liked the hotel and think I'll return again.

Easy 10/10. Perfect location, impeccably maintained property — worth a visit on its own. Outstanding room quality, attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine friendliness. Spot on. A small story: I handed in my shoes for shining on the evening of our arrival, as I needed them for a ballet performance at the Mariinsky Theater the next day. Somehow, the hotel misplaced the shoes, and I had to leave for the performance in my sneakers. Natalia from the concierge desk tracked them down, drove to the theater, texted me the moment the first intermission started, and was waiting outside with my polished shoes and a shoehorn — then even returned my sneakers to the room. Truly impressive and completely unexpected! It almost makes you forget the minibar price list (though I still enjoyed the $15 pack of gummy bears). Tipp: try the insta breakfast in the room - another 10/10!

Facilities: The equipment is very new, including the toilet with a bidet spray – very nice. Hygiene: Clean, no strange smells. Very satisfied. Environment: Great. There's a ramen restaurant downstairs. It would be perfect if the soundproofing for rooms facing the street were a bit better. Service: Excellent. They helped me with my luggage.

Clean, neat and tidy room equipped with cooking equipment, hair dryer, clothes iron, usb charging ports and other useful amenities for a comfortable stay. The bathroom is likewise neat and tidy, with a towel dryer, sufficient lighting and personal care products available . The staff was very helpful and conversational in English, the signages and announcements are translated into English and Chinese which makes it a very hospitable place for non-Russian speaking travelers. The hotel itself is situated about 15 minutes away by car from Pulkovo Airport and in walking distance of buses which bring you to the metro station/St Petersburg city center. Across the hotel, there is a supermarket (Pyaterochka, opened until 11pm) and some small restaurants. Definitely worth it!

We were greeted quite indifferently, and given a poor room that didn't match the photos. We had to waste time getting the room changed, which wasn't in our plans. They did change the room, and the staff member who handled it was polite and made a good impression. Since we had a tight schedule that day, this situation ruined our impression of the hotel, especially since it was one of our birthdays and we hoped for more attentive service. In the morning, the staff congratulated us, which was very nice, thank you. The breakfast was okay, but the selection was modest for people who don't eat meat, sausages, or bacon. There was salted fish, but the quality was poor – too much salt and little flavor. The fruits also weren't tasty, and the selection was odd, with canned peaches being very unusual for a hotel of this caliber. It's a shame the staff didn't know the ingredients of the food; we asked about the bread's composition but were just told they didn't know, and no one even bothered to find out. We won't be returning to this hotel, and I can't recommend it, but everyone makes their own decision. The hotel's location is good, but it's a very busy street with lots of people and cars.

Great location, very close to the train and bus stations. There are also many restaurants and large shopping malls within a one-kilometer radius. The front desk lady was very nice, proactively asking about my room preferences and arranging everything. The only drawback is that the room facilities are a bit old, but overall it's very good and the room is quiet.

I've stayed at this hotel several times now. It's conveniently located near the metro, trams, and Petrogradka, and the line also provides easy access to the train station. The mini-kitchen was a big draw, and I've never had any issues with it – it's always fully equipped with everything you need. You can sometimes hear the neighbors, but they're generally decent and very friendly. There are many international guests, and everyone is welcoming. As for the downsides, in my room, the plastic shower head was leaking due to age. In a second room, there was a dirty stain on the roller blind. I can't comment on the cleaning service as I always request not to be disturbed. The bed linen is of acceptable quality. I wasn't too fond of the small towels; they're made from a different material than the larger ones and don't dry well. Also, the basic shower gel doesn't clean at all, leaving no feeling of freshness, but I always bring my own products, so it's not a deal-breaker for me personally. I imagine it would be useless for washing hair! There are similar good aparthotels called 'Valo Hotel' on Bukharestskaya if anyone is looking, but their location didn't suit me this time. I will continue to stay at Vertikal and hope they read comments and take guests' wishes into account.

I really loved the location – there are plenty of places to grab a bite nearby, a 'Lenta' supermarket on the side of the building, and it's a 25-minute walk to both Moskovsky railway station and the Fontanka River embankment. The hotel itself is modern with a comfortable lobby area. The rooms are minimalist and have everything you need, even a washing machine! What I didn't like: 1. Neither my friend nor I had air conditioning in our rooms on the 5th floor. There was a fan, though. 2. The sofa bed was incredibly uncomfortable. I was staying alone (even though it's advertised for double occupancy), and I kept rolling into the middle of it in my sleep. I can't imagine how two people could possibly sleep on it!

Hotel is at a great location. Near to Metro and Main train station and shopping areas. Hotel staff were all very attentive and helpful at all times. Rooms are bathrooms are clean. Easy to get around to all the attractions by walking or short taxi rides. We had a wonderful 3 nights stay and we highly recommend this hotel.
