"A large 20-30 years old hotel building. Clean , very large guest room with city view on the high floor. Fast check in and friendly staff. Very good buffet breakfast. Good water pressure at the high floor bathroom. None smoking rooms are available, but sometimesl smell of the smoking still coming from room ventilation. Good room price. Will stay again if I come to Johor Baru."

"Mixed Experience – Good Service Recovery but Initial Handling Could Be Better I recently stayed at Holiday Villa Johor Bahru City Centre and had a mixed experience. For the first two nights, we suspected the room was not properly cleaned as both my husband and I experienced continuous sneezing throughout the stay. I reported this to the front desk after the first night, but no action was taken or escalated. Unfortunately, we had to endure a second uncomfortable night before I raised the issue again to the duty manager. I must commend the duty manager for her prompt and decisive action — she arranged an immediate room change, which made a significant difference. This level of service recovery was appreciated. However, it is unclear why the initial concern was not escalated earlier by the front desk, which could have prevented unnecessary discomfort. On a positive note, when I fell sick during the stay, the front desk staff were thoughtful enough to send porridge and warm water to my room — a kind gesture that I truly appreciated. The hotel’s location is very convenient, and the breakfast selection varies daily, which is a plus. A special mention to the egg station staff — they were consistently friendly and attentive, handling every request with a smile even during busy periods. Check-out was smooth and efficient. Overall, while there were some lapses in initial handling, the service recovery and certain staff members’ efforts stood out."

"I really enjoyed the food, breakfast, sedap and satisfying. Love that there’s a swimming pool and gym to chill and stay active. The room also comes with a bathtub, which makes it even better for relaxing after a long day. Definitely worth it!"

"Stayed at Novotel JB City Center and had a great experience! The room was very clean and comfortable, and everything was well maintained. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful, and made check-in smooth. The location is very convenient too — it’s very near KSL and there are plenty of shops, food, and essentials nearby, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Also, thank you to the team for the birthday cake — it was a really thoughtful and made the stay even more special! Overall, everything was great and I had a pleasant stay. I would definitely come back again and recommend it to others visiting JB!"

"This is my second time staying here. The environment and the room are still great, and I can even enjoy the view. However, the only downside is the access card issue. 😭 If a family is staying together, and one couple leaves first, the other couple will be stuck inside and go hungry! They can't even get food deliveries because there's no card. 😓 Even asking security to open the door doesn't work! Also, only one parking space is provided. Don't apartments usually come with two parking spaces when purchased? Getting around is truly inconvenient. Grabs always stop across the street, 😓 so we have to cross a road to get to them. The address is 100% correct, and even the drivers confirm it, but they still make us walk across the street ourselves."

"Repeat again at this hotel as we loved to stay here. Booked One Bedroom Suites but was upgraded to Two Bedroom Suites 😍 Appreciated so much as this trip is a reward to our kids. Breakfast as usual, great because for me the food spread was enough and everything is delicious. All the staff are helpful and the Chefs are friendly. The pool, kids loves it so much. They added this Snake Ladder game at the pool area is great. My kids tried once. Looking for coming back for the next school holiyay! 🎉 See ya again 🤍"
