GGuest UserThe most important thing to remember about the Mark Grand is that Google Maps will show two Mark Grand hotels and one of them is wrong. Make sure that you find the correct address. The Mark Grand is a renamed and arguably improved upscale hotel in Saitama. It's a few train stops from Ueno and there's more than one way to get there depending if you're coming from say Shinjuku or Ueno. The rooms are immaculate with drip coffee, a humidifier, and you are given the option to have your room cleaned on specific days (not every day). JP customer service, as always, is excellent and although the breakfast buffet doesn't change, the options are more than enough to keep your palate satisfied for a week's stay. There's a Lawson at the second floor and an excellent gym, pool, and spa (not really an onsen). Unfortunately, the sports center isn't free and you have to pay a small fee (1200 yen) to use it but it's more than worth it. It's extremely popular with the older locals and make sure you visit in less busy times. There is a Cocoon mall nearby which is not busy and since the hotel is located in the CBD, you only come across salarymen rather than the annoying Western tourists. I also highly recommend the Railway Museum in Saitama, which is a short 2 stops away. If you're familiar with JP trains and don't mind the short commute, I highly recommend the hotel.

GGuest UserIt's just a 10-minute walk from Omiya Station, entirely accessible via a pedestrian bridge. What a pleasant surprise to find there's even a direct connection to Sonic City Hall for concerts! During check-in, I was delighted to meet a Chinese-speaking staff member. The room was immaculately clean, and the view from the window was fantastic! The 12 PM check-out time was incredibly convenient for us late-risers. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay, and we'll definitely be back next year!

GGuest UserBeautiful traditional Japanese stay. It was a bit further away from the city, but the experience made it worthwhile. Dinner was excellent, with many creative dishes. It was also included in the price. The onsen was very well kept, and the place was clean. Would 100% recommend staying here.

GGuest UserWe booked a Japanese-style room for four with futons on tatami mats. The bedding was a bit firm but acceptable. The room wasn't very big, but it was very clean.
The hotel's location was great, right in the city center. There's an art museum on the second floor of the same building, featuring a Picasso painting, but photography isn't allowed. Admission for adults is 1000 JPY. In this regard, it doesn't quite measure up to the Getty Museum, which is massive, free, and permits photography.
The hotel breakfast offered both Japanese and Western options and was very generous. Nearby attractions include Kawagoe Ichibangai and Hikawa Shrine, where you can pray for good fortune.
I'd like to extend a special thank you to Ms. Furuhashi at the front desk! I was trying to book ferry tickets online from Aomori to Hakodate but encountered a problem; I couldn't navigate the Japanese website. Ms. Furuhashi very patiently helped me book tickets for my whole family on her phone, a process that took a full 40 minutes. She solved a huge problem for me, as all our subsequent hotels were already booked, and if we hadn't secured those tickets, our entire itinerary would have needed to be rearranged. We can't thank her enough! We're currently on the ferry to Hakodate, and I'd give her ten thousand thumbs up!👍

TTJ keiIt's an old hotel, so there are traces of an old resort hotel. The facilities are old, but the interior is nice. There is a hot spring on the premises, which guests can use. There are no shops nearby, so we ate at the restaurant in the hot spring facility. It's inconvenient if you don't have a car, but you can get there by bus from Shinrin-koen Station on the Tobu Tojo Line. You can also get to the Fukaya Hanazono outlet by bus, so it's a good place to enjoy hot springs and shopping relatively close to the city center.

If you drive, you can park at the Seibu Railway Cooperative Parking Lot next to you. It's very cheap at 500 yen a day.
It takes about 10 minutes to walk to Koedo. There is also a famous udon shop called Tabelog nearby. I ate there for two consecutive days.
The location is very good. If you want to travel through it, you can stay here for a day to rest.

MMeishaoxueI came here after attending the fireworks festival. It was already late. I called and was told that it was okay to check in later and that I should take my time and not rush. Google navigation led me to the entrance of the parking lot next to it. I had to go around to the other side of the block to find the hotel, and the door next to it was a massage parlor. The guy came out and explained it to me clearly with words and gestures. Turn a corner to the door, take the elevator to the second floor, there is a platform where you need to take off your shoes before entering, and the shoes are stored in the cabinet area on the right. Check in at the front desk on the far right, the staff are very nice. Go to the left and take the elevator to the room. Although it is not big, it is quite clean and a set of indoor clothes is provided. I didn't have time to go to the big bath, but it was quite comfortable to take a bath in the room. It is very close to Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine, just a ten or twenty minute walk away. The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of styles. The key is that there are very few notes on XHS about this Dasongge name Li Hot Spring. After understanding, I know that this hotel is best to have a car, otherwise I will have to pick up the hotel's free van at the meal station.
Actual stay experience: very good! ! ! We went on Christmas Day, there were almost no people, and we also made an appointment for a private soup. Our sophomore and sophomore gave us the key to the hot spring, and we really made a private space.
