I deliberated for a long time when choosing a hotel and finally booked the InterContinental One Thousand Island Lake Resort. My only thought afterward was: it truly lives up to its reputation as the best hotel in Qiandao Lake. First, let's talk about the scenery. The entire hotel feels like it grew out of Qiandao Lake, exclusively occupying the Xianshan Peninsula. The lake view isn't just a peek from a certain room; everywhere you go, it's like a painting. In the morning, standing on the room's balcony, before the mist dissipated, the distant islands layered one after another. When the sun rose, the entire lake surface turned golden-green, like gold powder sprinkled on a traditional ink wash painting. In the evening, sitting by the lighthouse, the lake's surface slowly transformed from orange-red to deep blue. My family and I didn't need to say a word, just watched the changing light. We could watch birds and clouds from the balcony for half an hour. On the way back, my child kept saying, ”Dad, let's come here again next time.” This kind of scenery isn't for 'checking in'; it makes you slow down. Next, the breakfast. In the past, when staying at resort hotels, breakfast was usually just 'edible.' This time, I was truly impressed. The variety is one thing, but the key is that every item is of high quality. The freshly fried sunny-side-up eggs were cooked perfectly, with tender whites and runny yolks. Local ingredients like the Qiandao Lake dried preserved vegetable扣烧饼 (kou shao bing) were prepared even more meticulously than in outside restaurants. My son was particularly fond of the Western bread and salad station, dragging us there for refills every day. What's even more commendable is how quickly dishes were replenished. Even with so many guests during the holiday, popular dishes were refilled promptly, and the staff were diligent in clearing plates, so our table never piled up with dirty dishes. The concierge service was the most pleasant surprise. Upon arrival, the concierge took our luggage, and after the front desk assigned our room, they promptly delivered it, which was very reassuring. One detail particularly touched me: we took a bus out once, and the young lady at the entrance actually gave water to the taxi driver and instructed him to take good care of us and get us to our destination. If the hotel treats taxi drivers like this, I imagine they would be even more attentive to guests 😊 There were so many activities at the hotel that we couldn't get enough. On the afternoon of our first day, we participated in the Xianshan hike. The route was well-designed, with moderate intensity, offering lake views and forests along the way, so even children could manage it. We also learned about the origin of Xianshan, which has a love story: 'Only envy mandarin ducks, not immortals' – that's where the name Xianshan comes from. On the second morning, my son participated in the hotel's parent-child nature craft activity and didn't want to leave. In the afternoon, I took my wife to a nap activity, and she came back and told me, 'It's been a long time since I've had such peace and quiet.' In the evening, we swam in the pool for a while, and then watched a movie. We were initially worried that two days would be boring, but our schedule was packed, and we still felt like we wanted more. Whether it's activities for seniors, children, or individual interests for couples, everyone can find something to enjoy. This is what a resort hotel should be like. Finally, the conclusion: I've stayed at many hotels in Qiandao Lake, but the InterContinental One Thousand Island Lake Resort is truly unique. The price isn't cheap, but every penny you spend shows its value, unlike some hotels where you pay a high price only to find they only win on 'reputation.' For family trips, traveling with elderly parents or children, or just wanting to find a place to unwind for a few days, choosing this place won't disappoint. P.S. Wucheng Four Seasons Yijing Hotel (Yongsheng Shopping Plaza Branch) 9.1 The hotel package price was very affordable, so I saw a lot of senior tour groups. It's located near a residential area, and attractions like Guzicheng require a drive. There are many restaurants nearby. Pets stay free. However, Yongsheng Shopping Plaza is still about a 30-minute walk away. Location: Generally, it's near a residential area and a bit far from attractions (-0.7). Navigation was clear, and there's a convenient parking lot within the hotel grounds. Hygiene: The bedding was clean, and the floors were tidy. They also offer to clean the room after you've woken up, which is quite thoughtful. Service: The hotel front desk staff were very diligent. During check-in, they followed a standardized script and sent a detailed page of information via WeChat, including breakfast and Wi-Fi details. Their response time during my stay was also very fast. It would be even better if they could check reservation notes during check-in to provide the appropriate room type. However, the most annoying part of the service was receiving daily WeChat messages pressuring guests for 5-star reviews (-0.5). Facilities: They have smart home features and well-equipped energy-saving devices, as well as accessible facilities. However, the smart toilet only had an automatic flush function (-0.2). Also, there were no screens on the windows, so opening them for ventilation could let in mosquitoes and other insects (-0.3). Comfort: It has a budget hotel design. The room was a bit compact but generally clean. The soundproofing was a bit lacking (-0.2). Dining: Breakfast is provided, including a noodle station. They also offer a great late-night snack service. Bonus points: Late check-out available (+0.5). No room upgrade. Laundry room available (+0.5). Late-night snack service available (+0.5). Minus points: People occasionally smoked in the ground floor lobby and were not stopped (-0.5).

I've stayed here many times, and the service is always excellent. This time, it was a family trip, and my husband arrived at the hotel first. The hotel was busy, but the staff helped upgrade our room type. Special thanks to Benson & Sandy for their thoughtful service. The concierge staff were also very proactive in helping with our golf bags and luggage. I'll definitely be back for my next golf trip!

The service here is truly exceptional, nothing to complain about. The facilities are decent, especially considering it's a 16-year-old hotel – they're actually quite good for its age. Of course, choosing Banyan Tree means trusting their service, which has always been top-notch. From the front desk receptionists, the Western and Chinese restaurant staff, to the gondola operators, the electric shuttle drivers, and the housekeeping team, their service-mindedness is consistently excellent.

This was the most satisfying hotel of our trip. The privacy and Chinese aesthetic style were perfect. The welcome drinks and breakfast were excellent. The complimentary boat ride and art gallery visits really made our itinerary hassle-free. A special shout-out to our butler, Xiao Zhong, who was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, from pre-arrival communication and transfer arrangements to tour suggestions, attraction introductions, and even restaurant bookings. Thumbs up!

After seeing all the great reviews, I hastily booked my trip to Wuzhen just the night before, and Jintang Inn definitely added a lot to the experience. The swaying sculling boat carried us into the water town of our Jiangnan dreams, starting a journey of peace and tranquility. The location of Jintang Inn is excellent, the room is great, the breakfast is delicious, and the reception service from Manager Zhao Runqiu was very thoughtful. Following the hotel's arrangements, we experienced a sound bowl healing session, feeling the physical and mental relaxation brought by the sounds. We visited the silk reeling workshop, which was quite impressive. The large loom actually required two people to operate; it took me a while to realize there was someone else sitting up top! ”If a child doesn't learn, cut the loom thread” – if it were me, I don't think I could bear to do it!

The environment is quiet and the activities are abundant. The mountain air is great, and there are golf carts to take you anywhere within the valley. This time, the pre-sale package included dining, spa, and a travel photoshoot, making it even more comprehensive and cost-effective. The room was spacious, and with the 3-day, 2-night package, you essentially didn't need any extra expenses to have a great time eating, drinking, and playing. The New Rui travel photography was also excellent; it was efficient, unlike the rushed schedules you find in city photoshoots. Outdoor natural light photography creates a different effect than indoor lighting, leading to more natural interactions. If you're driving, you can also visit Naked Castle for free. Although the Land Rover off-road experience for the entire route is charged, it's a very special experience and I personally think it's well worth it. The three days and two nights were very fulfilling, and the weather in September and October was also good. If there's a similar package next time, I'll definitely come again.

My husband booked this healing hotel by the Xixi Wetland for our anniversary, and it was incredibly romantic. The theme room that Xin Hotel decorated for us was so thoughtful, even my husband was surprised! The hotel's private butler service was excellent, almost always responsive. The private hot spring, where you can hear birds chirping, even used herbal and plant essences designed to balance the five elements. Environment: The bed is very comfortable, it's quiet at night, and the hygiene is very good The overall experience is very good. The hotel is centrally located and it is easy to get to any part of wuzhen from here. We were amazed by the impeccable service that was top notch by 小新. You won’t need to worry how to get to the hotel as your personal butler will contact you in advance and make sure everything is taken care of. She is dedicated and very prompt in anticipating our needs. We appreciate her suggestions for dinner and had a few very delicious meals around the area. She also helped us to make reservations in advance. The breakfast is also excellent. We enjoyed the service provided at wuzhen club house. The hotel seemed to have seen better days in terms of the facilities and maintenance of the decor in the common areas but as we don’t spend much time in the hotel, that is a very minor flaw that we can overlook. In general, the rooms are clean and well equipped. You should stay in this hotel for the service that makes the trip feel very relaxed and goes above and beyond!
