GGuest UserWe spent out last night of our trip at Kempinski Taiyuan, and it did not disappoint. The receptionist upgraded up to a room on a high floor with a view of the city. They also gave us fresh fruits and free minibar. They had everything you would expect of a five star hotel, and the location is in a bustling part of the city. Would definitely come back.

The hotel has a restaurant called Fenglingge which serves great local cuisine with reasonable price. For hotel guest, there is a RMB60 restaurant voucher given to offset the restaurant bill at Fenglingge. One of the staff at Fenglingge, Liu Guangzhen 刘光珍 is very attentive and helpful and provides great service.

CCaihuaxiaomeiLet me talk about the pros. The breakfast was quite plentiful and tasty, 68 yuan per person. Our child, being 15, paid an extra 40 yuan. We booked three rooms together. The rooms were decent for a five-star hotel, and the lobby was beautiful. Now for areas for improvement. Aside from the good security guard at the entrance, the service could be better. Since it's a hot spring hotel, the hot spring itself is important, but it was rather mediocre. Of the 12 pools, some were 58 degrees Celsius, some 48 degrees, and only a few were usable and small. Also, because so many people were crammed into a few pools, they became quite dirty. All three families stayed for an hour before leaving. There were too many access control points. For a hotel in such a remote area, I don't understand why there were so many access control points and card swiping systems; it was very inconvenient. I didn't intend to give a low score because the front desk gave us a complimentary breakfast, which was a concession.

GGuest UserThe hotel is excellent! Located in Datong Ancient City, it's incredibly convenient to all the attractions, just a ten-minute drive from anywhere. It's also next to Southeast Yi, a great spot for city walks. The rooms were very comfortable; even in temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius, the rooms were warm and cozy. The service was attentive, and the room amenities were high-quality, matching the hotel's standards. A perfect experience! I'd love to come back in the summer!

The breakfast restaurant has a great ambiance, and the abundant breakfast is definitely worth trying, with waterside seating available. The bedroom is spacious and generally clean, with smart home features throughout, which is very convenient. The toiletries, tissues, and slippers are all high-quality, and the shower water pressure is excellent. The soundproofing in the room is also good. The only drawback is that the carpet is a bit old. The Fenglin Pavilion downstairs has delicious food, and they even give out vouchers. The complimentary bathhouse isn't worth visiting; it's very small. It's definitely worth the price during the off-season; for under 600, it's impeccable.

2. Hotel all staffs from check in counter, restaurant staffs all can remember what's we drink coffee on day before, we are so surprised and always show all smiles .

GGuest UserThe hotel environment is very good. From the moment you enter the lobby, you can deeply appreciate the meticulousness and care of the store. Whether it is the ancient maps on the wall, the exquisite colored glaze decorations, the background wall of huge abacus beads, or the exquisite Ruyi-shaped abacus in the treasure grid, they all perfectly combine the rich Shanxi merchant cultural traditions with the exquisite and advanced modern decorative techniques. The guest rooms are fully equipped with Xiaodu voice intelligent control. The capsule coffee machine, Longjing tea bags and Pu'er tea bags can well meet the beverage needs of someone like me who does not drink beverages. The bathroom and bedding are of super five-star standards. The goose down quilt and pillow are soft and comfortable, and the mattress is moderately soft and hard, which can relieve fatigue very well. The bathtub is equipped with bath salts and bath towels, the towels are thick and soft, the shower head has plenty of water, and the fully automatic toilet is fully equipped. The service was also very thoughtful. The day before check-in, the customer service director Xiao Wu contacted us in advance to inquire about our preferences and requirements for the room. During the stay, he enthusiastically provided various help. Thank you very much. All in all, this was a very good accommodation experience. I hope your hotel will prosper in the future.
