I recently stayed at the Venice Waterworld Hotel in Shijiazhuang and, unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The hotel feels quite outdated and in need of renovation. The rooms were dark and old, with furnishings that seemed worn and tired. One of the biggest issues was the air conditioning—it was old and lacked a proper thermostat, making it difficult to regulate the temperature. Additionally, smoking is permitted throughout the hotel, which was a major downside for me as a non-smoker. The smell of tobacco was pervasive in the hallways and common areas, making the stay less comfortable. Breakfast lacked food for its guests. They were not being topped up according to the people who were in the restaurant. While the location may be convenient for some, the overall condition and policies of the hotel make it a poor choice for travelers who prefer clean, modern, and smoke-free accommodations. If I return to Shijiazhuang, I will definitely look for a different hotel. Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) – Below Average, Needs Improvement

I was very satisfied with my stay. First of all, I would like to thank Kevin for solving the problem with my room. Whether it was the front desk, the restaurant or the overall hotel experience, everything was excellent. The staff at the restaurant were very enthusiastic and the bartender at the bar was handsome and professional. See you next time!

The most outstanding thing about this hotel is the service. Everyone I met was greeted with a smile, the service was in place, and they gave me a little surprise from time to time. They tried their best to meet all the needs they raised. Thumbs up 👍. The only thing was that the water in the bathtub was yellow, but after I raised the issue, the hotel's attitude was very correct, so it was over. The swimming pool will be opened tomorrow, and I missed it perfectly this time, which is a pity.

The room is very open, although the number of floors is not high, but it is very close to the sea, you can watch the sea and be in a daze at close range, there are many indoor power plugs for easy charging, the minibar has bartending alternative ingredients (and green lemon 🍋) very nice, Health is OK, there is no dust on the balcony, The location is in the tenth phase of Anaya, the shuttle bus is convenient to go anywhere. The housekeeper carson calf asked about the time to arrive at the store at around 10 am, and helped contact the parking space. The service was very good. Wherever the hotel is located, the waiters take the initiative to say hello and feel warm. The overall stay experience is 5 points, will come again and recommend friends to go.

Upon entering the lobby, staff immediately greeted me with a smile, proactively took my luggage, handling it gently yet securely—every detail showcasing their professionalism and thoughtfulness. During check-in, the front desk agent was incredibly efficient, making the whole process quick and convenient without any waiting. She even thoughtfully offered a warm cup of longan, red date, and goji berry tea, a warmth that spread from my fingertips to my heart. What was even more surprising was her proactive upgrade of my room—this unexpected gesture of care really touched me! My upgraded room was spacious and bright, with excellent natural light. The layout was wide and comfortable, and every corner was spotlessly clean and well-organized, instantly making me forget the fatigue of my journey. Shortly after checking in, housekeeping thoughtfully delivered fresh fruit, a rich variety that was juicy and fresh. This meticulous attention to detail truly made me feel the warmth and comfort of home. It was a perfect experience from start to finish, with service details meticulously handled and full of sincerity! This is definitely a five-star service hotel worth revisiting countless times, and I sincerely recommend it to anyone who seeks quality in their travels.

We only stayed for 1 night but really enjoyed the experience. Due to the centralized heating system, our room was extremely hot and reached 29 degrees celsius even with the window open. We ended up calling the front desk at 4:30 a.m., and within 10 minutes, someone arrived with a large fan. She helped us set it up and adjust the temperature, and it quickly became comfortable enough for us to fall back asleep. Thank you for the quick assistance!

Overall a great hotel, and we loved our room and the swimming pool (the changing rooms and showers are amazing!) but there were some issues. Our door cards constantly stopped working even though we told the staff every time we extended our booking. The gym was much too hot, almost too hot to work out in. The shower in the room was not hot enough and the water temperature fluctuated a lot. Breakfast was very disappointing; the breakfast room so freezing that a lot of people had to wear their coats to breakfast and a lot of the food was cold even at 7.30am. The service at breakfast was poor and there was little good western food. Undeniably the view is absolutely stunning though. The worst thing was the internet, which even for Chinese websites was extremely slow, and that more than anything else spoiled our stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel is conveniently located right by the beach and commercial areas. There are many restaurants and several convenience stores within walking distance. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and very clean. We tried two of the restaurants inside the hotel — one offering upscale Chinese food and the other seafood buffet, both were excellent. Will definitely choose Shangri-La again if we come back to Qinghuangdao in the future.

I really like the atmosphere of this hotel, which is quiet, elegant and relaxing. The attentive service of the service staff is impressive. Especially the duty manager Alex, with his overflowing smile and attentive service, makes people feel at home. I like him [strong]

The room is big and the environment is OK, but there are a lot of mosquitoes and flies on the first floor, and there are bugs in the room. The advantage is that the location is very convenient, just inside the pass, which makes it very convenient to visit the ancient city and the No. 1 Pass in the World scenic spot is also very close. There is nothing much for breakfast, and I can only say that it is edible.
