We had a nice stay in two neighbouring apartments on the ground floor near the pool. The staff was very friendly and helpful. To the city centre it was only a 6 minute walk. Breakfast was sufficient and the cocktail in the evening tasted good. We would book it again. It was calm and the view was amazing:)

All the staff were very kind and had a great stay.
We had a buffet breakfast and dinner, but none of them were delicious and enjoyed Sri Lankan food.
The hospitality of the hotel was transmitted by the manager at breakfast.
I would like to use it again.

O hotel está Na colina, com UMA BOM paisagem montanhosa, e o banheiro é super grande. Durante Mais de vinte DIAS de Vida EM Sri Lanka, Sinto a única quarto não húmida. Se há ar condicionado, é perfeito.
 A maioria Das pessoas está NAS proximidades de Ella Town a Mais de vinte minutos de carro.  Ella é principalmente . Todos OS hotéis e pessoas são basicamente atravessados por caminhos curtos. Muito adequados para  pessoas que Querem viver com o mundo por alguns dias, especialmente para elogiar SUA equipe de serviço, Alguns meninos locais entusiastas e amigáveis que Querem realmente fazer o BOM para cadA convidado que permanecer. Obrigado pelo SEU delicioso pequeno-almoço.

We stayed here for one night and it was very pleasant! The hostess and all the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. There is parking, but parking is very difficult. The slope is steep. There is no air conditioning in the room.

Great hotel, with unbeatable view of Ella rock on the balcony. However the room did not have universal plug sockets, the hotel provided a hairdryer but did not fit the plug socket. It is also very difficult to get to with suitcases. Fine if you’re backpacking, but carrying suitcases up the massive hill is very difficult. Perhaps the hotel should look into purchasing their own tuktuk to ferry customers up and down the hill. Not everyone is a backpacker!

Very Good
It was a nice stay at Ravana Range Ella hotel with the view and welcoming experience. Food was nice and the team was very hard working and nice to welcome the guests with their heart. Special mention to Lasitha. My kids enjoyed the company with him. Room and washroom was spacious with a very good view.

The good: Unbelievable view Fantastic service and really friendly staff The best breakfast I have ever had while travelling Knowledgeable hosts Nice location, about 1km away from ella town but really, really close to nine bridge arch and little adam peak trailhead Clean and comfortable rooms Would 100% stay there again The only issues we had were the wifi was pretty dreadful and we had to use data everyday The pictures are of breakfast and of the room view

This guest house is located right in the middle of the forrest. Really cute and the hotel staff is so kind. She is very sweet and super helpful. The only problem is the entrance is a long stairs steps and if you have huge luggage. It will be really hard to carry. The room is cozy but the bathroom has no amenities so please bring your own shower gel and shampoo.

Keeping in mind this is a 3 star hotel, the positives are the rooms are big with a balcony looking out at amazing views (ours anyway), and the pool is clean and quite big also with amazing views and a concrete elephant water feature!!! The location of the hotel is pretty good too - far enough from other properties to be quiet but close enough to Ella main drag that you can walk in 10-15 minutes or pay a tuk tuk driver double the rate of Colombo to get to and from. The big negative for us was that despite being told upon checking in that the room would be cleaned every day, it was not. And I was told the reason why was that we didn’t hand in our key for it to be done - which seems bizarre after staying in hotels for decades and not being told to or having to hand in a key in order to get a standard daily room clean. The insinuation that it was our fault for not handing in a key (not that we were told to do so on checking in) was extremely irritating. Food was ok but overpriced so we ate elsewhere (lots of options). There were lots of little things in the rooms that could be easily addressed to make them nicer - definitely not having ripped old bath towels, and removing an empty TV bracket from the wall (like a TV used to be there but not anymore - or was it just our room, who knows). All these little things add up to I really think the room rate is too high - but we are here in the high season so maybe that’s just the going rate.

Dowa Elegance Resort is a peaceful retreat surrounded by beautiful nature. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is very kind and attentive, and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxation. A great place to enjoy the beauty of Sri Lanka with warm hospitality.

It’s a little high up on a hill, but the view from my balcony was gorgeous. It’s also right off the main street, so if you don’t mind the trek up and down you’re still relatively well-situated to be near the backpackers’ bars and restaurants and shops. Breakfast had a lot of local Sri Lankan options which I greatly appreciated, and staff was also happy to explain each dish to newcomers. A small piece of advice for the team though: perhaps hire a few female staffers? As a woman traveling alone, one of the first things I noticed was the all-male staff—or at least, I didn’t see a single woman working there in my 2-night stay. I don’t have a problem with it, but newer solo female travelers might unintentionally be scared off

What truly made our stay special was the **attentive service and warm atmosphere**. **Great food, fantastic service, and genuinely caring staff** – we couldn’t have asked for more! **Highly recommend** Alta Vista for travelers seeking **comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality**. **Thank you for a memorable stay One thing which can make more effective is WhatsApp service. WhatsApp will speed up things. Service was prompt if you have a Srilanka number over phone call.

We had a lovely stay at Ella Rawana Den Hotel in Ella. The location is excellent — just a short walk to town, making it very convenient for restaurants, cafes and exploring the area. One of the highlights was the beautiful balcony view overlooking the lush green hills. It was the perfect place to relax in the morning or evening. The room was big, clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. However, it’s important for older guests or anyone with mobility issues to know that the hotel is located up a very steep hill. Cars and tuk-tuks cannot access the property directly, so you need to walk up, which can be challenging — especially with heavy luggage. Because of this, it may not be suitable for elderly or disabled travellers. One small improvement would be for the hotel to provide a hairdryer in the rooms, as this would be very helpful for female guests. Overall, a great stay with beautiful views and kind staff — just be prepared for the steep climb!
