A truly wonderful visit with spacious, comfortable rooms, the best food we have ever eaten in a hotel - both evening meal and enormous breakfast and welcoming, attentive staff. The only minor thing that could be improved would be to have USB plugs in the rooms.
We will definitely return for another stay - thank you!

Ficou no hotel por SUA proximidade Ao Porto de Cairnryan devido a UMA partida de ferry precoce Na manhã seguinte.Temos UMA sala confortável para as nossas necessidades, com espaço amplo para a família.Há um parque de carros no local. Chegámos tarde e saímos cedo, então não podíamos usar as instalações, mas as áreas que vimos foram bem apresentadas, eles foram gentilmente capazes de organizar um pequeno-almoço de saída para nós, porque nós saímos antes do pequeno-almoço ser servido.

A big clean room, a little bit old fashion. Barman staff wasn’t as friendly as other members of the hotel but everybody was polite. Impressive sitting rooms. Swimming pool with showers and spa included in regular rate. Recommendedz

酒店房間裝修像KTV，酒店位置是很偏遠，不進市區，就是去這個酒店的小路會車導致爆胎，真的去酒店的路不好走。酒店的服務人員挺熱情的。酒店早餐一般般，一般沒車不建議訂，又貴又不方便。朋友執意要定，無奈，反正去酒店的路上感覺像開車進入森林，一路上沒人，全是樹陰森森的，好不容易進到去，酒店我不像個城堡，有點像而已。性價不強，其他還好。酒店房夠大真的是在英國算很大了，還有浴缸，廁所也大。但是吧這裝修一言難盡像KTV，太大反而看起來有點恐怖。白天的大堂看着還可以，酒店門口也不錯。晚上真的有點恐怖~

Os padrões do hotel são realmente especificações especiais. Desta vez, o Turismo para o Reino Unido é basicamente um hotel de férias determinado, saneamento e serviço do hotel, e o pequeno-almoço é particularmente bom, dormindo profundamente!

GGuest UserThe Portpatrick Hotel is a stunning building, inside and out. Obviously, this is shown by the slightly dated decor, but I would imagine it is a listed building, and their hands will be tied regarding what modifications they could make to it. For me, it adds to the charm of the place.
The rooms are clean and have exactly what you need for a comfortable stay. If I had one complaint, it would be the shower; it was poor and rarely had hot water. Again, I understand this could be due to the volume of people in an old building. This did not affect my stay.
The staff were friendly and helpful, the bar and games room were great, and breakfast was great value served in a stunning dining room.
Will definitely be returning one day, thanks for a great stay!

AAnonymous UserThis hotel is desperately in need of a refurbishment. It is incredibly tired and below par even for a low-budget hotel. As a disabled person, I was disgusted by how out of touch they were with code in this day and age, including a serious violation. We had very hard beds, which I couldn't sleep on, so I ended up with no sleep. The showers were over a bath (not very practical for a disabled person, especially with no bath seat), and the water pressure was basically a dribble, so it took forever to wash long hair.
All in all, it's a shame the hotel itself is so disappointing, as it is in an ideal location for stopping off when traveling through, and it's situated beside a beautiful lake. The staff were very polite.

GGuest UserFrom the outside (scaffolding etc) we wondered what it would be like but we were pleasantly surprised. We had booked a standard room which was clean and tidy with all the bits we needed, kettle, tea/coffee, hairdryer. The staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast could be cereal with milk or yogurt, cooked breakfast, toast or croissant, big choice and all fresh and freshly cooked. We had the cooked breakfast - WOW - lasted us all day. The little town of Annan, all I can say is, if you don’t visit it, you will miss out on a treat.
PS the scaffolding is for all the renovations which will improve the property. We would love to return one day.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and polite
The service I received was excellent and the food was excellent that I received
The first room I stayed in was a little bit tired but as it’s a single bed room it was more than acceptable
The second night was a different room as I extended my stay and was a superior single and was more in price but I found it to be excellent
A great hotel with great staff and would recommend a stay if you’re passing through Lockerbie or need a hotel base in the area

GGuest UserWe had a 2 night break our room was a Queen bed double room
and dog friendly as is the hotel.the room was exceptionally clean and warm the bed was extremely comfortable the wardrobes and units gave ample storage and the shower was hot and comfortable to use .there are also tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
We ate at the restaurant both nights and breakfast was included also.The quality of all the food was excellent and all staff were very friendly and efficient ,Really enjoyed our stay and would hope to go back in the future

LLottiMacBeautiful B&B right in the centre of Dumfries. Excellent access to many amenities and a two minute walk to the train station. Despite its location the Huntingdon offers a great night's sleep. My room (the annex) was spacious and stylishly decorated, with all the necessary facilities. It was immaculately clean. One minor grump was the lack of shelf in the shower - trying to pick up shampoo from the floor is difficult mid shower. Breakfast was very good quality, and the poached eggs superb. Would thoroughly recommend this B&B.

MMartaStayed at the hotel for its close proximity to the Cairnryan Port due to an early ferry departure the following morning. We had a comfortable room fit for our needs, with ample space for the family. There is a car park onsite. We arrived late and left early, so weren't able to use the facilities, but the areas we did see were well presented. They were kindly able to arrange a takeaway breakfast for us, as we were leaving before breakfast was served.

GGuest UserCouldn't fault the Eskdale, from the minute we came through the front door the staff couldn't do enough for us the receptionist even carried our case up stairs for us.the room was lovely and clean and the bed was sooooo comfy . Cooked Breakfast was delicious too with as much tea and toast as we wanted ....tea yes toast no as we were full up from breakfast !would definitely go back .

GGuest UserMy trip , was disrupted before we even arrived at the hotel, we contacted Alison at the Village In to advise her we would be much later than expected and have to leave earlier than expected the next day. She was extremely accommodating and whent out of her way to assist and provide a very pleasant stay.
I would definitely return next time I'm in the area.
