The location is the best by the river Nile. Room with balcony and river view is best to see the Nile and the great pyramids by distance. I enjoyed the views. The service is good. The room is okay. The furnitures in the balcony are in poor state. Bathroom needs refurnishing .

In general I recommend this place. It's well located, it's new, the rooms are really nice! The rooms are well equipped, big, confortable and clean. I have to mention that the staff in general is nice, Zyad from reception and Mahmoud from the kitchen that serves the breakfast, for example, they are very gentle and kind. I'm thankful for their attention. The only point to improve is the cleanliness of the pool. I've been 5 days and they didn't clean the pool any day (maybe because it's not summer anymore and they think is not necessary?), so I didn't had the chance to try it unfortunately. That's a point to improve.

The hotel is accessible via a covered bridge from Terminal 3, and a free shuttle bus runs between Terminals 2 and 3. The hotel also provides complimentary airport drop-off; since we departed from Terminal 2, this service was convenient. However, we had to wait around 30 minutes to check in at midnight.

Reservei duas camas de solteiro na Ctrip, mas me deram uma cama de casal. Mais tarde, o hotel insistiu que não havia camas de solteiro, então tive que dividir o quarto com meus amigos. My stay at Sofitel Downtown Cairo was genuinely pleasant and absolutely worth the money. The hotel delivers a high standard of comfort, but what truly made the experience stand out was the exceptional staff. Special thanks to Ahmed Zakarya at the front desk for his professionalism and warm welcome. Appreciation as well to Shaker from housekeeping for his attentiveness and consistency. I would also like to extend special thanks to the ladies at Solana, the breakfast restaurant—Zakeyh and Hanan—who are truly the gems of the restaurant. Their kindness, energy, and attention to detail made breakfast a highlight of each day. Overall, a very enjoyable stay, driven by excellent service and a strong hospitality culture. I would gladly stay here again.

I had a very satisfying stay here. First off, the location is excellent – right in the bustling heart of downtown Cairo, yet surprisingly quiet. It's just a 10-15 minute walk to the Egyptian Museum and a nearby metro station, and about a 20-minute stroll to the Nile River. There are plenty of restaurants and bakeries around, making dining and shopping very convenient. The room had a fully equipped kitchen, which was great for making breakfast, and there was a common lounge area on our floor. Getting to Cairo Airport by Uber only took about 30 minutes.

I stayed at this hotel five times. Family for the location the fact that it has a swimming pool. Food here for breakfast was not too good because it upset my stomach. I like the staff the rooms are good but some of the views are just terrible. Views of Rocky vacant lots. If you can get a view of the Egyptian museum or the pool. The views can some time kind of depress me. this hotel has a swimming pool and a gym and after a day and Cairo you need to kind of decompress in a pool. I would stay here again this is my go-to hotel in Cairo. I paid $125 a night including taxes with breakfast. Not crazy about breakfast so be careful what you eat.

Good clean and new hotel. Reception staff need to pay more attention to the customer instead of talking shop with each other.
