It’s basic but has everything you need including lots of drawers and storage space and microwave. Not spotlessly clean but far from dirty. Nothing special or exciting but perfectly liveable. The only issue is maintenance like toilet leaking and bed frame wobbley and even the soap holder fell off the wall. The two male staff members were always so friendly and welcoming but the lady working on the Saturday had a cold personality and she would not lend me 10cents so I could use the laundry without having to walk all the way to the bank to get more coins even tho I had 2 more nights already paid for and would have gave them the 10cents back the next day.

Wonderful stay with a cheerful welcome and friendly farewell from our hosts. Close to Park Beach Plaza, beach, tourist attractions and eateries. Plenty of parking which allowed our vehicles to be safely off the street during our stay. Room was spacious with two queen beds, lounge, plenty of extra blankets in the cupboard along with a good size bathroom stocked with the travel necessities including tissues. There was nothing we did not enjoy during our stay. We will happily recommend to family and friends and if needing to stay in Coffs we will choose Royal Palms.

Inn is situated near shopping centre. Large room equipped with tea making facilities, microwave, fridge and pool. Plenty of parking space and quite place. Nice place for a stop over. No breakfast and friendly staff.

The motel was perfect for a one night stopover for a family of 5, including our pet dog. The motel is easy to find not far off the freeway and is a short walk to town and also close to some playing fields for a dog walk. The room was a good size for two adults and two teenagers and the queen plus 2 single beds configuration worked well. The room was clean and tidy and the staff were friendly and accommodating, especially when we left a phone charger behind they kindly arranged postage. We would stay there again and would recommend anyone else do so as well. Good job Cottage Motor Inn.

The motel is located just out of town, but close enough to walk into town. The room was well equipped and comfortable. The is plenty of parking available and some rooms have lake views. We did not see any staff as they have contactless checkin.

Staff were fantastic and very welcoming, easy check in service at the bar. Rooms where good and clean, well suited for a family of 4 like us. Our room had two single beds and a double bed. Plenty of parking out the side of hotel as well. Great pub as well.

Recently renovated from the old Killara Motor Inn, this motel has some real advantages - clean rooms, a great location ~10 minutes' walk away from the Lindfield station, plenty of parking just off the Pacific Highway, and a terrific little restaurant serving up-market Japanese cuisine. Disadvantages of highway noise and external access to rooms (although well protected by a roof) are minor downsides, but you might ask for a room at the back with views south-west. There aren't many options if you are staying in the central north shore area - Chatswood and Macquarie are further away and much more expensive, and few local pubs offer accommodation.

The room was very clean, saying that the Australian hotel had not touched the dirty, it was very clean, it may be that the air is too clean and easy to clean. There is no microwave in the room but there is a public kitchen. It is very convenient. The microwave oven is broken the next morning. Waiting for the staff to change one for a long time, the price is not expensive. It is almost the cheapest motel in Australia these days, maybe compare Remote

I arrived Saturday for a one night stay to attend a wedding. Checkin was seamless and I was able to use my NSW voucher which made the room only $55 for a Saturday Night! What?!? Such a bargain. The lady that checked me in (Elenore?) was very friendly and easy to talk to. My room was number 19, which is the second floor. The room was perfect, far better than other places I’ve stayed around the world. Bed was comfy and clean, bathroom was spotless and the kitchenette was great and not expected for the price (kettle, toaster, bar fridge (with water jug, little mills), microwave and tea / coffee. 2 plates, 2 bowls, cutlery, glasses and tea towel. I had some issues with road noise, but I’m a super light sleeper, I ended up sleeping with the AC on for abit of white noise. The bathroom has been half renovated - new shower and vanity. But old original floor tiles and shower taps. They still worked fine. But the shower door was abit on the narrow side, so if you are a little on the podgy side you may need to “suck it in” to get in the shower. The floor of the room was all tiles, which creates abit of noise when moving furniture but I never heard another guest and it was fully booked. The only thing I can think of that MIGHT be a major issue is if you have a large car, the parking spaces are narrow and short. I thankfully have a small car, but I’m also short so can’t see the end of the bonnet so it was abit tricky when I left. I hope I have some other events to attend on the central coast so I can stay again. It is the perfect location, a quick shoot over the back of Kariong Hill to get to Woy Woy. Down the hill to Gosford and Terrigal or back along the highway to the northern parts of the central coast. Thanks again :)

What a cess pit with a shifty owner Hongxiao Tian of Tiamy Investments. When nearing Goulburn on the way home we called ahead and inquired whether 2 rooms were available for my aunt and I the reception(ist?) asked if we were OK with upstairs rooms in an odd way so we said we'd come and have a look first. When asked for a credit card number I gave a debit card number and said it wasn't to be used for payment. When we arrived we waited about 15 minutes for someone to come over to reception, were given the keys to 2 rooms and we went upstairs. it was a very cold night, the rooms were old basic and filthy. Not just missing paint and curtains not fully hung but hair and mess on the floor and very crumpled bedding that someone had at least slept on. the AC units in both room didn't provide any heat at all so after 10 or so minutes we went back to reception and said we couldn't possibly stay there to which we got a mild apology and left. The next morning my debit card was charged and since then I have called and emailed the place with most going unanswered and the reception(ist) telling us she wasn't authorised to provide a refund and only the ”accountant” could do that but that she wouldn't pout us through o him. I have lodged a complaint with NSW Fair Trading and Westpac fraud. I have traveled extensively throughout Australia and Europe and NEVER had an experience as bad as this

I'll start with the very few cons about this motel and finish with the substantial pros: Cons: This motel looks a bit shabby on the outside, and the furnishings in my room were old particleboard and showed signs of swelling at the edges presumably from Sydney's high humidity. The TV wasn't a smart TV. There was no in-room safe that I could see. Pros: The charge for the room was very reasonable, especially for Australia Day weekend. The bed was comfortable, the sheets and towels clean and changed daily. The room was clean and the bathroom spotless. The included breakfast is (two servings of each if a couple has booked the room): A variety of Kellogg cereal packets (I'm sure you could probably request specific types if you want), milk, two slices of white bread, butter and jam. My room had a toaster, microwave, kettle, kitchen sink and dishes, glasses and cutlery. The air conditioning was excellent and modern. My room (ground floor at the back of the parking lot) was remarkably quiet given the motel's location on a main road. The motel also held my bags cheerfully in their office after we had checked out so we could tour around before our flight. There are a limited number of free parking spots for guests (not reserved). The motel is centrally located, five minute walk from shops including a Coles and Aldi, Pharmacy and Edgecliff Metro Station. It's a two minute walk to a bus stop towards Watson's Bay or to the CBD in the other direction. Bottom line: The staff here were very attentive, far beyond the looks of this motel. This is a good value option for people who want to stay along the Bondi line but would prefer not to be at Kings Cross. It was actually cheaper than private rooms in many hostels around town. They do cut corners to keep the price low (old furniture) but it's a good tradeoff. I would definitely stay again. Pro tip: Try to secure a room facing the back of the building to avoid traffic noise.

Lovely lady booked us into a ground floor room with parking outside the door. Just on a one night stay on trip from Qld to Victoria. Bed very comfortable and shower plenty of pressure which I love. We ate at the Chinese restaurant on site which was excellent food. Took off early in the morning and left my iPad behind in the room. Had a phone call from reception when the cleaner found it and took it to reception. The receptionist said no problems, they would express post it back to me that day, which they did. Good old fashioned service and honesty. Thank you to all concerned.

We had an unfortunate time in October 2019 were our father had to have a quadrupal heart bypass. We looked at places to stay close to Liverpool hospital. We ended up staying at the El Toro at Liverpool. The Welcome we got was nothing but AAA class, the service we got in the pub and restaurant that is attached to the motel again AAA class.The meals that we had all fresh and beautiful. To name two of the staff although all staff were very friendly Jay and especially Cassie went rite out of their way to make sure that we were happy. Well done keep up the good work. Cheers. I stayed 3 nights in the Garden is Motor Inn at Bass Hill, my usual motel in Sydney, mainly because of the great pre-dinner drinks & meal atmosphere. Regulars gather between 6pm & 6:30pm with the owners for some casual and friendly conversation & camaraderie lubricated from the full bar! The meals are always good with a variety of steaks, seafood and Asian offerings. The atmosphere gives a great break and relaxation from each day of business, so I highly recommend the Gardenia. When you stay, don't hesitate to join the round table where all are welcome & you soon feel like family. For dinner, overjoyed Atlantic Salmon with prawns and veggies. Executive Motel rooms are comfortable and spacious with great showers and amenities. Highly recommended.

I stayed at Seranin Gordon for a few nights, I previously stayed at Seranin Lane Cove & had such a good experience when I need a place to stay again I couldn't go past Seranin Gordon. The rooms are immaculate & brand new, the manager Patrick was very helpful and responsive. The location was amazing being so close to public transport and local shops up the road. will definitely stay again

Great location, easy parking, large and confortable rooms with kitchenette and small balcony in this small pub motel type accommodation which is actually the only hotel option in the area at walking distance from the beach. Clean and well attended with food stores, chemist and licor store just next door. Highly recommended. Will definitely be back.

Stayed for three weeks in January 2022, on a visit from the UK. Jodie found us a room which catered exactly for our needs for a longer stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and the staff were all very pleasant, efficient and helpful. Standard of cleanliness was excellent. Local facilities close by, with shopping centre across the road, and cafes, and bar in easy walking distance. If we needed to stay in the area again, we would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Jodie and all the staff.

Pros: We booked over the phone for a room the same day, and got a slightly discounted rate. We checked in after reception closed but we got our key and found our room easily. We appreciated the lovely complementary chocolate. The main room was clean, modern and fresh looking, and the kitchenette contained all you’d need to make a meal. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were crisp and clean. The TV was huge & had plenty of channels. Over all it was fairly good value for an overnight stay. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool area but it looked really inviting. There seemed to be some good options for dining within walking distance, but as we had a car it was easy to drive around town. Cons: the bathroom could use an update. It was fairly clean, but was dated. There were signs of mould in places and somehow there was a small amount of water leaking from somewhere when the shower was used. The shower head was over a bathtub, which we dislike (especially my 6’4’ husband) because it feels pokey. They may have rooms with stand alone showers, so next time I would ask for this. I didn’t see a lift so if you have heavy luggage it might be better to ask for a lower room rather than lug it up flights of stairs. They require guests to empty their rubbish into the large bins downstairs- we didn’t realise this condition as it is listed in their check in paperwork, which we didn’t see or sign till checkout due to our late arrival. The staff said it was fine though which was nice of them.

We had a king room for one night. We really enjoyed our stay at the Ashwood - clean, quiet, updated, good size room and really great value for money. I’m giving it five stars because I think it’s an exceptional budget stay. Great location and very convenient. Would stay again. Thank you!

Stayed here during a last minute business trip. Rooms are simply furnished but very clean and comfortable, all you'd need for a night or two. The microwave oven in the room was a nice touch although it wasn't needed this trip. Rear door access, heating and cooling were good, and the bed was clean and comfortable. Quiet too, despite being only a little back from the main road. Check in was friendly and easy. The car park could be a little tight if you have a large 4WD, but it just means taking a little extra care, nothing that would prevent anyone with a large car parking there. Would definitely stay again.

I booked a family room for myself, husband and two adult children. The accommodation was advertised as Executive Family and $20 extra Deluxe . The rooms looked large in the pictures. What we got was ordinary double room with two single beds. A recorded message when we called Reception. After dinner still no-one in Reception. So my husband and children showered which is beside the toilet with one of those tiny sliding doors. I am a large woman. Whenl tried to enter the shower l could not pass through the half door. We went to see Reception at 0900 hrs and explained my problem asking that we be allow to pay for the one night we had used and the lady said that it was not possible. She offered the use of a disabled shower but the room was too small for the four of us. We were told to go to our room and Reception would contact us. A housekeeper brought us the key for the disabled room and l was told that l could only use the shower we couldn't have the room as it was booked later in the day. The lady at Reception said that it was a thirty year old motel and this was the size of the rooms but it is not what is shown in the pictures We told reception that we were leaving and asked again that we be charged just for the time used and she said no. I were charged the two nights. The rooms are small, the shower was small and the staff were disinterested in helping. If the excuse was the thirty years of age of the Motel then perhaps the rates should also reflect this, which they did not.
