Mission Inn San Luis Obispo

The hotel is in the city center, the location is convenient, but when you first check in at the front desk, the hotel needs to charge a tax, but it is true that the room fee has been paid in full when booking with Ctrip, but in order to check in as soon as possible, we still follow the hotel's requirements I paid the money, then contacted Ctrip, and received a reply from Ctrip the next day, promising to refund the corresponding taxes and fees, and Ctrip’s refund was credited to the account on the same day, so although there was a problem, it was communicated and resolved in a timely manner, especially Ctrip’s The Internet telephone communication option is still a very important timely and effective communication method for guests who are abroad and are inconvenient to answer the phone.
Avenue Inn Downtown District Slo

This is a family-run motel with rooms that open to the balconies or the parking lot. It is located on the edge of downtown SLO, close to the exit from Highway 101. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Rooms are clean. Plenty of towels and hot water. Housekeeping service every day. They even maintained this service during the pandemic! Showers, no bathtubs. Refrigerator and microwave and coffee service in the rooms. No elevator. Coffee and snacks are available in the office. There is a gas station across Marsh street with an extensive selection of food and drink. Headstrong gym, a very well-equipped training facility, is across the street at the back. You can get daily access for $20. This is a pleasant, affordable space to stay.
The Wayfarer San Luis Obispo, Tapestry by Hilton

This is not my first review of the Wayfarer SLO. The facilities, room, and staff are great. After several visits, the reason for pause continues to be the breakfast. The hotel charges full bore for a breakfast that is very mediocre. The food quality is not on par with the ambiance of the hotel, and neither is the dining room service. Coffee refills while dining? Sure, if you pay for it. Come on, really? (BTW, each time I have paid 18-20% tip, which is done before the food is served.) Going forward, we will be skipping the hotel breakfast and going to a real restaurant. There are several solid options in area. The Del Monte Cafe is a 5 minute drive and well worth the price.
TownePlace Suites San Luis Obispo

We stayed here on a recent trip and the staff is so friendly. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pits at night and a good breakfast in the morning. Highly recommend it. Hotel is only a couple of years old beautiful facility and very quiet. We would definitely stay again if we’re ever in the area..
Downtown Slo Inn - San Luis Obispo

Hello everyone, I just want to write about a horrible experience I had last night. I booked a room through Snap Travel at the downtown SLO Inn. Shortly after settling in my room I noticed that the place was being used as a homeless shelter. When a homeless person started bothering by approaching my door and asking me for money, I decided I was gonna cancel my stay and ask for my money back. The owner flat out refused. I had told him I did not want to stay at a place being used as a shelter. At that point he came outside and started yelling profanities at me. He then began inciting the tenants by telling them that I was talking bad about the tenants. I then was surrounded by several aggressive tenants while the owner continued to incite them. At that point he had my key and was refusing to give it back so I can get my stuff and leave. He refused while using profanities and threatening to use a bat on me. I finally was able to escape the mob and another tenant loaned me his phone so I could call the police. During the scuffle my hand was broken. I ended up going to the ER. I contacted he mayor about the incident. The ironic thing was that the owner was mocking me for actually being a tourist. Apparently the city or state that pays him to house the homeless pays a lot more than tourists do
Peach Tree Inn

My family and I needed to be in San Luis Obispo for a family emergency. We stayed at the Peachtree Inn. They were kind, they were sympathetic to our situation and they were so very accommodating. My family and I had planned on going on a Thursday but needed to change plans and go a day early. I called to ask if this was possible and the staff made it possible on top of that they gave me a huge discount as well. When we arrived they had us make sure all of us would be comfortable in the family suite, because if we weren’t they were going to make changes for us. At the end of our stay we thought we might need to extend an extra day I called the front desk and talked to them and without hesitation they said don’t worry about it we will take care of you. Not only were they kind and empathetic for me and my family, they were kind to other members of my extended family and friends who stayed there as well for the same reasons. As someone who works in the travel industry and customer service I was so impressed with the Peach tree and their staff. I would stay here 1000 times over because of their kindness their empathy and their willingness to do the right thing for a family that is going through something terrible.
