Recently, due to interference from Ukrainian drones, GPS near Red Square has been nearly ineffective and stuck. I wandered around several times before finally reaching the riverside, where I found this single, two-story yellow building based on the pictures in the comments section. It's easy to find Red Square from the hotel; just a few blocks away, you can see the Onion-domed Church in the distance. On the way back, I didn't even need to check my phone's navigation because it was broken! First, the front desk lady spoke English. While waiting in line to check in, I wanted to see the hotel's amenities, but she immediately stopped me, raised her hands, and greeted me with a ”Hello.” Actually, I had to wear shoe covers to enter the hotel area. When it was my turn to check in, I spoke very little English, but she slowly explained the hotel rules to me and showed me the bathrooms, showers, and shared kitchen. Even with my limited English, I understood most of what she said. When I checked out, she was very welcoming and smiled, welcoming me back in English. Second, the hotel was much cleaner than I expected, with many attractive young people staying there, and everyone was very polite and didn't bother anyone.

The hotel is nice and the location is great, but there are two employees at reception, a man and a woman (I don't know their names exactly), whose attitude is bad. It would be better if the bedrooms were soundproofed from the street because at the end of the night you feel like you're sleeping on the street due to the noise from cars. 🙂

I always choose Arbat Star for my business trips. The hotel is located in the city center, right next to Lotte Shopping Center and Hotel Ukraina. The service is excellent; both the front desk and housekeeping staff are very warm and helpful, patiently assisting with any issues. The hotel offers a rich breakfast. I had a very comfortable stay!

The facilities, service, and staff attitude were all excellent. Location: It's a bit of a walk from the subway station, and you have to take a small alleyway. If you're unfamiliar with the area, you might need to ask for directions to find it. However, it's also within walking distance of Red Square. Once you know the way, you'll find it's quite close. The subway and Red Square are in opposite directions from the hotel, but the distance to both feels similar. Facilities: There's Wi-Fi, and the amenities are well-equipped, including slippers, a hairdryer, disposable toiletries, and many other items. The only downside is that while there are windows, they face an interior space and cannot be opened, which was a bit misleading as I expected them to provide ventilation. Next door was an area where another company seemed to be holding meetings, and it was quite noisy. I had to close the window when sleeping, especially since they eventually left for the day. I had to use the air conditioning because it would get very stuffy otherwise. When I spoke to the hotel about changing rooms, I found that all rooms had these inward-facing windows. I was told I'd have to pay extra for a room with an exterior-facing window. Service: The hotel front desk offers service in English. They were able to provide water when I asked and also offered luggage storage. Conveniently, the hotel is right on the way if you're walking from Red Square to the subway, so it's perfectly en route. Overall, I'm satisfied. A big thank you to the two Russian men who helped us find the hotel with our luggage; they truly saved us from our helplessness.

Everything at the hotel was great. We stayed there for 6 nights. Room and bathroom was clean. Staff at reception was friendly and helpful. Hotel location is great. Easy to access to metro and Arbat area is buzzling and nice to walk around especially during the evenings/night. My only issue was trying to get our taxi to locate the hotel. When we book the taxi a different address appears on the booking app and it will bring you at the back of the hotel and you will need to find the hotel yourself. Our stay was during Feb and it was snowing and cold, so that was not a great experience trying to locate the hotel with 2 big luggage. Other then this I would recommend this hotel.

There were four of us, and we booked two rooms on the 11th floor. The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable. In one room, everything was perfect, but in the other, it was initially noisy due to neighbors (a shared connecting door). We called the front desk, and they moved us to another room without any hassle within 5 minutes. However, a day later, a couple checked into the adjacent room and decided to play loud music at midnight. We knocked on their door, and they turned it down. Still, a connecting door doesn't provide great sound insulation. The hotel service was excellent. Breakfast offered a classic, standard selection of dishes with no unique flair. We enjoyed the service at Cafe Imperial on the ground floor, though the classic dishes we ordered weren't fully eaten. The location is very convenient, which is why we've booked this hotel again for our return journey.

I stayed for one night after arriving in Moscow. The room was clean and comfortable. I'll definitely use this hotel again when I visit next time! 😊

I'm glad I choose this hotel to end my trip in Russia. The bed is so comfortable and really like the huge window. I have a quiet room and sleep really well. (quite true that also have to depend on your neighbour - next room) as you can sometime hear them. Since I was assigned the last. room so I only have one neighbour.. The registration is a breeze for foreigner. The only problem is if you book single room (duplex) and you are tall I will think you have bit uncomfortable to craw.into.the bed..😅. I'm Asian size and not tall (161cm) I need to craw carefully because two times I hit the wall. 🤣

Had a great 24 hours at Idera! The hotel is conveniently located next to the Nizhegorodskaya transport hub, making it super easy to get to the city center or other parts of Moscow. There's also an Auchan right nearby, so you can grab groceries in 10 minutes and cook dinner in the fully equipped kitchenette (stove, fridge, dishes — everything's there). The bathroom and shower were immaculate: great water pressure, consistent temperature, spacious, and clean. Not a single complaint during my one-night stay. The interior is modern and minimalist, it's quiet, cozy, and the Wi-Fi is stable. Check-in was instant. It's the perfect option for a short stay: self-sufficient, comfortable, and with excellent transport links. I'll definitely be back!
