Copenhagen Downtown Hostel – Capsule Stay Review This was my first time staying in a capsule hotel in Copenhagen (£80 per night), after hearing positive feedback from friends who had travelled here. I decided to try the quiet zone option with a comfortable capsule located near the hostel facilities. Pros: • Excellent location in the heart of the city, with restaurants, bars, and cafés within walking distance. • Easy access to all main attractions. • The capsule area was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, I left with mixed feelings. While the location and cleanliness met expectations, the hostel’s operation style felt more “self-service” and less attentive to guest concerns. On the first night, my sleep was disrupted by a guest in the quiet zone who was both noisy and snored loudly throughout the night. It affected everyone in the vicinity, and despite some guests (myself included) gently knocking to try and reduce the disturbance, it continued until morning. On the second night, the same issue occurred, but it was made worse by a sudden emergency alarm at around 4:45 AM, requiring all guests to evacuate and wait outside for inspection before returning to bed. Understandably, safety comes first, but the timing and the combination of disturbances made it impossible to rest. When I tried to contact staff in the middle of the night, there was no one available, so I had to raise the issue through Trip.com. Although staff later offered some coins as a goodwill gesture, it did not feel proportionate to the £80 per night rate... especially when nearby private rooms can be found for much less. Sadly, what I hoped would be a unique and comfortable stay turned into a frustrating experience. I will not be returning, and I would advise light sleepers to consider alternatives.

I think for the price, it is an okay hotel. If just staying for a night for transit, the location is definitely great. The breakfast spread is not bad too. The check in time is strictly 3pm & all self-svc. Basically zero human interaction. Storage of luggage is at your own risk as it is based on integrity & no luggage tag issued. Bring your own toothbrush & toothpaste, bty.

Realmente aproveite a estadia aqui!! As instalações são perfeitas, pessoalmente adoro a sauna. O quarto é maior do que eu esperava, adoro ter um espaço privado pessoal em vez de compartilhar quartos com outras pessoas! Não é muito perto da estação de trem, mas muito perto do ponto de ônibus :) com certeza vou visitá-lo novamente!

For the room I stayed in is really small. Even I am short, I could not sit straight on my bed ( can refer to the picture I uploaded). The toilet and the bathroom is really cold, especially for right side of the bathroom as there is no heater inside. And the cleaning staff, their service attitude a bit worse. During the morning hour, they will clean the toilet and bathroom, also for the checked-out bed. From my experience, they stared at me and made me feel uncomfortable and ”under pressure”, seems I should not stay at the area (where they are cleaning). Also, I found that they changed the pillow cover and bed sheet on floor(disgusting). However, the reception is nice. As it is a hostel, it is reasonable for them to charging fee from the shampoo, shower gel, or service (like storing luggage service). However, I have never heard and experienced that  accommodation does not provide hairdryer for free(cost $50 dkk). It is alarming to everyone who would like to  book this hostel when coming to Copenhagen, you need to bring  shampoo, shower gel, teeth blush, etc. If it is possible bring your own hairdryer as well, it is costly for you to bring one for just a few days.  I would totally not recommend people to stay in this hostel cause there is better options with the similar price (like airbnb or other hostel chain).

A entrada do prédio e a recepção são impressionantes. A recepcionista é muito acolhedora. Mas o quarto em si parece um motel barato. Limpo, mas barato. Não vale o preço. As camas parecem camas de acampamento, mas são aceitáveis. O chuveiro fica no mesmo espaço que o vaso sanitário, e para tomar banho você fica em pé no mesmo chão do vaso. Comodidades para café/chá: duas xícaras baratas e dois sachês normais de café, açúcar e creme. Curiosamente, o café tem o rótulo do hotel, mas as xícaras não. A iluminação do quarto é insuficiente, o ambiente é escuro. E não há interruptor central para as luzes. Você precisa acender/apagar cada luz manualmente. Não há secador de cabelo. Não há shampoo separado. É apenas um sabonete líquido com shampoo. Deixar sua bagagem/malas após o check-out não é gratuito. Eles têm armários, pelos quais você precisa pagar. O buffet de café da manhã não é nada sofisticado e não oferece muitas opções. A localização é boa. Não fica longe do centro. E não havia vista para a cidade do meu quarto, mas isso estava indicado na reserva. E há uma pequena academia no prédio.

Great location—5 min walk to Central Station, easy access to Tivoli and museums. Room was clean and spacious, bathroom large, shower amazing (strong pressure, stable temp). Our room faced Tivoli—perfect for fireworks! Front desk was super nice and handled multiple booking changes for our big group smoothly. Restaurant was tasty and reasonably priced (pasta & steak both great). Matcha latte was a highlight! Would stay again.

The breakfast is amazing and definitely saves a lot of cost in the costly city. Liked the room nice and neat and everything was easy and intuitive for me to use. The place is very close to the metro station (Fredericksberg station) and the mall which opens pretty late in this country. Visit Føtex if you wish to see whats local. Other places worth visiting would be... BUKA bakery, and Fredericksberg garden where you can rent ice skates during the winter. Bruun Strik(15 min walk) and Tante Grøn(1 min walk) are worth visiting if you knit and crochet.

Fantastic location, easy to reach from the highway as well as with public transport. Good sized room with comfy bed and good and clean facilities. The burgers and milkshakes are amazing and the 50's US style adds a lot of character.

Localizado ao lado do centro de embarque de Field, conveniente para obter alimentos e artigos diversos. Meu quarto era no 10º andar em uma noite de sábado, os hóspedes nos andares inferiores eram muito barulhentos até altas horas da madrugada. Havia um fedor no corredor no 10º. A atitude de alguns funcionários da recepção era tão fria e sem sorrisos. Me fez duvidar à primeira vista se eu tinha feito uma escolha errada de hotel. Felizmente, havia outros que eram prestativos e gentis... mas isso estabelece o equilíbrio. Só ficaria lá novamente se não houvesse outras opções.

The hotel is in a perfect location, an added advantage is that it is connected to the airport building by a walkway. Good soundproofing of the rooms, comfortable beds, the only small complaint is the wardrobes and bathroom which are a bit outdated, but not bad. The staff is polite and friendly. the breakfast is excellent with a decent choice. It deserves a recommendation.
