"Before coming, I compared almost all the hotels and guesthouses on the mountain, and Beihai stood out as having the best value for money. The room size was quite decent, and the concierge service from Xinyi was excellent – she was very knowledgeable about the surrounding attractions and routes. The location is also good; it's about a 10-minute walk to Monkey Watching the Sea, which is currently the closest viewpoint for sunrise. Bright Summit is a bit further, probably a 45-minute to an hour walk for the average person. The closest to the hotel is the Yungu cable car, about a 20-minute walk, making it very convenient for going up and down the mountain. The hotel restaurant's breakfast spread was very generous, and the à la carte dinner dishes were also delicious, especially the bamboo shoots and the old chicken soup – so fragrant! "We stayed 10 days in Golden Eagle in June 2023. The location of this hotel is great. The service is awesome. The front desk reception Michelle and others are friendly and professional. I ran into the general manager in the lobby one day asking where to buy 风油精, she worked with her staff to get me one in a few mins. The breakfast is good with many choices. The gym is fine and my boy likes it. Unfortunately the swimming pool was under repair so he didn’t get a chance to use it. We will surely recommend this hotel to my friends. "
