There are more parking spaces, suitable for self-driving travel. The facilities in the hotel room are also good, at least 3 stars, the price is still OK. The only thing I’m not satisfied with is the breakfast. There are too few types, only bread, juice, cereal, milk, coffee, and nothing salty (no sausage/bacon/soybean paste). For the Chinese It's very unsuitable.

Overall it's pretty good. At this price, it's good for a night's rest during a trip. The room was a bit old, but it was very clean and there were no so-called bugs or anything like that. Breakfast is also included, which is relatively simple, including milk, bread, jam, fruit, and yogurt. I think it's okay. The environment is relatively quiet and safety is definitely no problem. It is a good rest stop during the journey.

The Charles Hotel is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. Visitors to Niagara-on-the-Lake will find that the Charles Hotel is a fantastic accommodation choice. In terms of transportation, Niagara Falls GO Station is approximately 21km away. Traveling to and from the railway station is easy with Niagara Falls GO Station located approximately 21km away. Keeping busy is easy, with Shaw Festival Theatre, Niagara Apothecary and NOTL Bar & Restaurant all nearby. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. This Niagara-on-the-Lake hotel provides parking on site.

I was initially apprehensive about staying in an ”old” hotel, but my worries came to rest. It was similar to a cottage theme with very clean rooms and adequate amentities. Staff were always very friendly, greeting us everytime we leave and return to the hotel, and responds promptly to our housekeeping requests. 10 minutes from the hotel, there is a park with a calming stream, a great place to rest and rewind from the busy city life. Nearest train station is just 5 minutes walk away, and a 30-45 minutes car ride to downtown. Some downsides though, there are no nearby restaurants besides the one in the hotel, and no nearby supermarkets. Utensils were not provided in the room so be prepared to bring your own set. Hotel lifts seem a bit worn out but had not broken down during my stay. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay given the calm surrounding vibes and amazing service. I would consider returning in the future

Hotel restaurant would not serve breakfast on 11 May, claiming too busy to prepare for Mother's Day brunch. Could only take breakfast box, which only contained a very green banana, an over boiled cold egg, a small cold muffin, a box of juice, no cutlery, no other drinks, in contrast to the breakfast form we were required to fill in when we checked in on Friday. Why bother to fill in form?
Not fair to hotel guest.
They could have set breakfast end time at 10am instead of 10:30 on that day and start their brunch at 11am.
Lady who served breakfast treated her customers like children, insisting which entrance customers must enter from, must put away their room card envelop etc.

I especially like the hotel's breakfast. The chef is very proud of her products. I am also rare to eat such a mouthful at the Western Hotel. The peach sauce is delicious, and the freshly baked chocolate welcome cookies kill most of the pastry shops. The inn is very good value and suitable for taking pictures.

The lakeside environment is still acceptable, but the hotel is a bit old, the facilities are a bit old, the health is a bit of a general condition, and there are a few moldy bananas in the refrigerator.

AAlexa NoronaMy niece and I stayed here for a night on our way to Stratford. The staff were lovely - everyone was so kind and helpful. We stayed in the Georgina Fergusson room, which was small, but enough space for the two of us. The bathroom was a good size- much larger than I expected, with a jetted tub. The breakfast was delicious.

GGuest UserThe Old Bank Inn is located near the shores of the Niagara River and a short walk to the town centre. The hotel is well-furnished and offers an outstanding breakfast with several options to cater to a variety of tastes. The people running the hotel provided excellent service during our stay. We are a retired couple who both have mobility issues and you will be required to climb stairs to enter your sleeping accommodations. There is no elevator. Nevertheless, our stay was made enjoyable by our hosts.

SSeow Hui MinGood place near a lot of local locations. Recommended. Front door is hard to find, only has a white piece of paper on it indicating the name of the inn. Staff is helpful and let us leave our bags in the office early before checking in.
Some minor technical difficulties with the room door but overall not a big problem. Wifi sometimes a tiny bit slow but functional. Didn’t manage to take a photo of the room, but online it said it had a stove but there was no stove in the actual room.

GGuest UserThe owner is very helpful and friendly. The room is a bit dated but the bathroom is recently renovated. The room is small but comfortable, with a microwave oven, TV and fridge. It’s all I ask for a motel. Location is perfect if you want to have a canoe day trip at Long Lake nearby. Will definitely come back.

WWendyClean and friendly spot. No coffee option in the rooms and walls are quite thin (you can hear pretty much everything). Overall comfortable enough with lovely garden views .
