Riss Hotel Malioboro

The location of hotel is nearby main street of Malioboro. The workers here very friendly!

This hotel is just a stone throw away from the train station. If you are a light sleeper, may not be suitable as you will hear train passing by on/off. The sound proofing of the room is not good. From the exterior, the hotel looks well maintained; the interior actually quite dated. You can hear next door neighbour hanging clothes and doors closing and opening. The room is comfortable and clean (as they are not using carpet). The cleanliness in the toilet needs to be improved. Found some ants at the sink but can't find where ants came from. The downside of the shower area is that there is no shower curtain; therefore the floor can be quite wet after shower. The breakfast spread is quite good, with lots of local food. Staff are very polite and welcoming 👍

I would like to express my gratitude for the best services provided by Horison ultima riss team during my stay in Horison Ultima Riss Jogjakarta. It was just a short visit but so exciting, knowing that their staff were really concerned about our comforts by providing us with the hot ginger and also contacting us at our room just to find out whether we were happy with the room. And the most extraordinary thing that the front desk team did was sending our left behind item in a very short period of time. We were on our way back to Jakarta from Malang and transit only for one night in Jogja (check in on 4 June evening out on 5 June). We tried to maximize our transit time in Jogja by visiting Borobudur temple and its surroundings early in the morning and returning back to the hotel in only 15 minutes to check out time which made us packing our baggage in a hurry and my husband forgot his denim jeans in the closet. we've just realized it when we have reached our home in Jakarta. We directly contacted the hotel staff immediately and told them about the left behind jeans in room 315. They responded very fast and within minutes they informed us that the jeans were found. One of the front desk staff (Riyanto) was also helping us by sending the item via courier to Jakarta. Please convey my sincere thanks and appreciation to Mr. Riyanto and the team who managed to find my husband's jeans and sent it to Jakarta. I will certainly stay in Horison Ultima Riss hotel again in my next visit to Jogjakarta and will let all of my relatives know about the best services that we received while we were staying there.
