We have visited Bryn meadows 3 times previously a few years back and always had a pleasant experience. Our experience this time unfortunately wasn’t as good as we remember. The positives of our experience were the views, overall food and overall spa experience. The negatives were the cleanliness of the whole hotel, staff, room decor. We really enjoyed our meals, considering the amount of poor food reviews the blas restaurant has, our food was extremely tasty. We also really enjoyed our breakfast experience. Lovely calm atmosphere and plenty of continental options. The breakfast itself wasn’t the best breakfast we’ve had, but we still enjoyed. The pool area wasn’t as clean as we would like, some tiles being broken. But we still did enjoy our time spent in the jacuzzi and in the sauna room/steam room. The spa treatments were ok. The rooms are far from modern, and are in desperate need of updating. Old dusty chipped furniture, cracked sink and bath, mouldy tiles and bath mat. But despite this, we both had an incredible sleep, very quiet and peaceful, and very comfortable fresh bed. My rating of 3/5 for my stay at Bryn Meadows isn’t due to the food, spa or rooms, but unfortunately due to the staff members. Not one single member of staff made us feel very welcome. ‘Hi how are you today?’ ‘Have a nice day/evening’ ’Good Morning’ ‘I hope you enjoy your stay with us’ , would really have improved our stay. It felt like the staff were just trying to get their job done and go home, none of them seemed interested in us as guests.
