Pleasant Holiday. Arrived with my husband earlier than check-in time, but the room was ready, so we checked straight in. The hotel looked well looked after in the communal areas such as the foyer, shop, and reception. They reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. We're shown to our room by a concierge who happily wheeled our luggage for us. First impressions of our room were good although on closer inspection the bathroom was a bit dated, shower was adequate, around the bath was what looked like dado rail. Toilet and wash basin were ok. The bedroom area was very comfortable, we did have to go to reception because the air con didn't work, but this was rectified in 10 minutes! Massive bed! We slept great every night. Wardroble space was adequate, and there was a safe you could use at an extra cost. The pool area was great, although the edging around the pool was flaking off in areas, and the poolside was slippy to walk on and very hot. This aside, the pools were very clean. A pool bar was open occasionally but only for soft drinks. Beer and soft drinks available at the bbq bar, any spirits were served at the Eden Bar. Staff were attentive in the bar and waiter service around the pool. The food was ok, bit repetitive, but we didn't mind that. Being a Coeliac I approached Chef Moorad on our first night, and he was more than happy to show me around the buffet informing me what I could and couldn't eat. He did this every night without me asking. He would come and find me. He even made me my own gluten-free pasta dish on our last night. The animation team was great, Momo, Fifi, and Jambo. They work extremely hard every single day! I do think the hotel could do with a refurbishment to bring it more up to date, but then the price may not be so good. We would definitely visit again!
