The Novotel was a bit disappointing. It was one of the more expensive hotels in the inner city so we thought it would be good. The staff were really friendly and forthcoming. The room was a bit average, the Bell tower hotel is far cheaper a bit older but has much bigger rooms. The gym has two running machines and some free weights? Got a better gym in average units in Australia. The laundry facilities are handy and a bonus. Cant say a sink in the main room is a bonus. I can not recommend the breakfast, very low quality fruit and bread I guess its ok if you are into Chinese breakfast and eat meat. The coffee is gross even Macas has better coffee. I would not consider staying here again. To expensive for what you get compared to the other hotels and accommodation available. The location is convenient to the metro, bell&drum tower, mosque, markets and south gate etc

I took my children to travel to Xi'an. I read online that the hotel's location is very good. It's convenient to go anywhere. I wanted to travel during the off-peak hours but unexpectedly encountered heavy snowfall when I arrived. I was unprepared and caught off guard. The hotel's front desk provided attentive service and the lady at the front desk was very friendly and patient. Answered all my questions, and also carefully reminded me of various safety precautions when traveling. The service was super heartwarming. The room was very warm and I felt perfect about my stay💯.

The nearest two subway stations take about 20 minutes to walk. It is not feasible to take a taxi, because there is a road nearby that is jammed all year round. If you take a taxi, Just wait for ten minutes over there. The environment in the room is okay, and the size is okay, but it is very hot. It is so hot that I need to open the windows at night, but after opening the windows at night, it is extremely noisy outside. Great hotel, clean, service staff with very good attitude. Breakfast was delivered to the room on the first day. There was also sweet soup in the evening. The rest of the days were buffets. Since we woke up very late every day, we didn't go to the buffet, but I felt that the buffet should be even better. It was really great to stay for four days. The most important thing is that you can see the koi when you open the curtains, so every day in Xi'an is lucky.

The best things about this hotel were: free laundry and great service. We traveled a lot and this was the only hotel we can wash our clothes and got fresh ones. In fact the staff 严巧玪 and 谢蓉蓉were so helpful that they collected and laundry and folded them and delivered to my hotel room. The shower water was great also. The room was very cleaned and always in order after we return. We loved the breakfast and tea time in the afternoon. The location is awesome very convenient. We highly recommend this one.

Would have been grand when new, but still quite good and lives up to its present day rating as a 3 star hotel. Bathroom has wet/dry separation, where pressure is good and heats up quickly. Room staff provide thick bathroom floor mats and towels. Overall not bad for 150 RMB a night.

The nearby area is full of fireworks and convenient to eat. The Roujiamo in Laotongguan is the best, and the Chuan Chuan shop opposite is worth a try. Several special attractions in Xi'an are very close, and you can take the subway to Yongning Gate in just one stop. I think the room with a double bed here is smaller than those in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and we were given a room facing the street. On the first night, it was so hot that I couldn't sleep all night because the heater was turned on. The room was still very hot with the air conditioner turned on; I decided not to turn on the air conditioner and open the windows for two nights, but I finally fell asleep. Maybe I couldn’t sleep until I was really tired after visiting the Terracotta Warriors + Huaqing Palace and watching Song of Everlasting Sorrow the day before; but in the morning, the streets downstairs started to be busy with traffic and chatter. Finally, around ten o'clock, I was woken up by the eviction warning from the urban management vehicle downstairs. On the third night, I turned off the air conditioner and opened the windows... The food stalls on the street downstairs were still open at two o'clock these nights. The difference was that tonight there were loud noises and quarrels between men and women! …Then the food stall was collecting beer bottles and the clinking noise was so loud that it was at least four o’clock when I fell asleep! Sleeping with the window open all night was like sleeping next to a barbecue stall. Without opening the window and turning on the heater, it was too stuffy and I couldn't sleep... I was woken up by the sound of electric drilling and knocking during the decoration at around eight o'clock... I didn't get enough sleep for three nights. Fortunately, I will stay in another hotel for two nights during the next trip to Xi'an; I look forward to having a good night's sleep.

The hotel is located in a very busy area, there’re a lot of places to eat nearby as well as some shops, although it can be noisy in the evening (but the hotel provides earplugs if needed). It’s easy to get around as the metro station and bus stops are near, as well as some sights(鼓楼，钟楼，西安城墙）The room was spacious and clean, although the bathroom door was transparent which caused us a mild inconvenience. Breakfast was very good: a lot of options to choose from. The lobby area is very cosy and the front desk staff are nice and friendly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this hotel and would recommend it to everyone! For this price it’s definitely a great choice

J went above and beyond to ensure I had a fantastic time during my stay. First and foremost, J's assistance with booking tickets to the Terracotta Museum was a lifesaver. She made the process effortless and ensured I didn't miss out on this incredible cultural experience. J's local knowledge was invaluable. She recommended the best places to eat in town, and her suggestions were spot on. I indulged in some of the most delicious local cuisine thanks to her guidance. What truly stood out was J's friendly and welcoming demeanor. She made me feel right at home at the Mehood Hotel, and her warm and accommodating nature was a highlight of my stay. I can't thank J enough for making my visit to Xi'an so enjoyable. Her dedication to ensuring her guests have a fantastic experience is truly commendable. The room was really great 👍🏻. I was stunned when I entered the door. It was exactly the same as the picture. The room was spacious and bright, clean and hygienic. The sheets and quilts were just replaced with new ones. The room was still drying the sheets that had been washed. For me with a slight cleanliness, I am more assured of hygiene. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the subway entrance, and you will go to the Bell Tower Muslim Street through the subway entrance. The location is not too good. There are various snacks around the downstairs. There is a morning market downstairs in the morning. It is super cheap to buy vegetables and fruits. I still cook in the room in the morning. The kitchen utensils and seasonings are all complete, which is perfect. Five-star recommended stay.
