The Novotel was a bit disappointing. It was one of the more expensive hotels in the inner city so we thought it would be good. The staff were really friendly and forthcoming. The room was a bit average, the Bell tower hotel is far cheaper a bit older but has much bigger rooms. The gym has two running machines and some free weights? Got a better gym in average units in Australia. The laundry facilities are handy and a bonus. Cant say a sink in the main room is a bonus. I can not recommend the breakfast, very low quality fruit and bread I guess its ok if you are into Chinese breakfast and eat meat. The coffee is gross even Macas has better coffee. I would not consider staying here again. To expensive for what you get compared to the other hotels and accommodation available. The location is convenient to the metro, bell&drum tower, mosque, markets and south gate etc

The hotel is located in a very good location, with metro just at doorstep and many shopping malls, eateries around. The staff is friendly, breakfast has a large variety with many local delights. Few points to improve: The hotel was opened years ago so maintenance of the hotel needs to be improved. Some facilities such as carpet, sofa, bed mattresses and floor tiles need to be further cleaned and fixed/replaced. I spotted some issues in the room but I only noticed that when I was about to check out. Though the hotel couldn’t do more to compensate for that but the staff was friendly and willing to offer their help if needed.

The very best experience from our long trip (18 days) across China. The facilities are very cosy and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and professional. The English speaking level is very high. Andy Song was really helpful for all kinds of requests. The breakfast is great. The place is quiet which is rare in such a big city. Amazing place, strongly recommended. Sofitel in Renmin Square will be our next destination in Xi’an.

The best things about this hotel were: free laundry and great service. We traveled a lot and this was the only hotel we can wash our clothes and got fresh ones. In fact the staff 严巧玪 and 谢蓉蓉were so helpful that they collected and laundry and folded them and delivered to my hotel room. The shower water was great also. The room was very cleaned and always in order after we return. We loved the breakfast and tea time in the afternoon. The location is awesome very convenient. We highly recommend this one.

Awesome. We arrived early after a long train ride and the hotel administration allowed us to quickly use a room that was available to get showered and cleaned up. After our bags were delivered to our room as we started to explore the city. Such immense joy in finding wonderful service. The city of Xian was wonderful. From the Muslim bazaar to the pagodas to the towers to the terracotta warriors. We only stayed two full days, but wish we had another to explore Daming Palace and more of the food at the Muslim bazaar.

Advantages The hotel is in a good location, right on the peninsula, with beautiful scenery, a good environment on the island, and good water pressure for showering. Disadvantages 1 The parent-child room was booked, but it was not decorated at all when I arrived at the hotel. It was only added after I requested it. The room type was also different from the Ctrip pictures. The front desk said that the pictures on the Internet were too old. If they were too old, wouldn’t you update them? 2 Check in at 3 o’clock and check out at 12 o’clock. This rule does not allow guests to stay for even 24 hours. I don’t know if this is compliant, which affects the experience. 3 It took 10 minutes for the front desk to check in. This is the slowest hotel I have ever met. 4 I had lunch in the hotel’s Western restaurant. Half an hour after ordering, nothing was served. The waiter Wen was confused and didn’t know anything at all. Later, a manager came and urged the dishes. Can’t a salad be served in half an hour? 5 I gave the child an ice cream. I didn’t want the child to eat too much ice, so I said that the three of us would eat together. The waiter Wen asked for two more tableware, and the waiter gave it to me with a face that was not annoying. You can understand that it is your rule if you don’t explain it. You don’t need to put on such a stinky face. The overall feeling is not formal enough and the service awareness is insufficient. There are many hotels with good scenery. I will not choose this one in the future.

Fantastic hotel right next to Datang Everbight Walking Street, Joy City Mall and the Goose Pagoda. Rooms are designed to look ”antique” to match the amcient theme of the area, but are very clean. Breakfast was reallly good!

Good service and nice breakdast . SPA and swimming pool also are well prepared during winter season.

This was a perfect place for my stay in Xi’An. Located directly next to the South Gate for the Xi’An city wall, it was very easily accessible and had so many options around. The room was clean and had all the necessities. The staff was very friendly and tried their best to communicate with us. The staff knew very little English, but definitely tried their best. From check-in all the way to check-out, the staff was incredibly receptive and professional. They helped to suggest the best local cuisine as well as helping to get a taxi to the airport. When leaving, front office manager Jerry He personally greeted us and checked on our stay. I will certainly rebook this hotel for my next stay in Xi’An

Amenities are great and all as to be expected. Staff are friendly, helpful and professional( can serve you in English if required). A great breakfast with wide selection of fresh food. Will definitely recommend and make our regular stay when returning to Xian.thanks to all staff for an enjoyable 5 days!
