This place is fantastic. Upon arrival my wife and I were greeted with prosecco in the sun and an atmosphere that immediately relaxed us. Our "Superior Sea View" room is by far the nicest hotel room I've ever stayed in – lavishly equipped, spacious, with an incredible view of the sea, and with all the amenities you could dream of. Everything in the hotel looked brand-new and was impeccably clean, from our room at the top to the parking garage below, and every level between exuded a calm, professional, well-designed and thoroughly thought-out experience. The service was fantastic. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome, with personal touches that are right now making me smile from ear to ear as I think of them. Everyone was courteous and friendly, and very, very skilled at what they did. The drinks were amazing, the food was great, the atmosphere never less than relaxed and safe in a way that immediately made us feel at home, even though it was our first (but certainly not our last) stay there. We met couples who'd been at the resort six times before, and I can see why. Our little Peugeot was the cheapest car in the underground garage by an order of magnitude, but we were treated like royalty. Everyone around us were kings and queens, and so were we. Are there any downsides? Everything about the hotel is unapologetically German, and while much of the staff speaks English very well, all written information (including the menu in the restaurant) is in German only. We made do with our modest German skills and relied on Google Translate for the written parts, but their website, and even the fancy in-room information system, does not have an English version. That seems weird to me, because translating it would be a low effort with a big payoff. We didn't mind, though. And while the food in the restaurant was generally very tasty, the presentation (the plating, if you will) lacked finesse. Considering the incredible care that goes into everything else at the resort, a sharper image from the kitchen would not go amiss. But all that was two drops of annoyance in a vast ocean of relaxed happiness. It's been months, or even years, since I felt as relaxed as I did sitting in a comfortable chair outside, sipping champagne and looking at the sea. My wife and I fell completely in love with the Upstalsboom, and can't wait until our next visit. We feel incredibly lucky to have found it by chance, and will not waste a second recommending it to anyone seeking relaxed luxury.

Great hotel. Stay there for 3 nights for a meeting. What an wonderful experience. Everything was perfect: room, amenities, breakfast, dinner. Everything fabulous and clean. Staff very friendly but need to find more english speakers. Strongly recommend.

Freundliches Personal, sehr schöne detailverliebt und saubere Zimmer. Sehr leckeres Essen. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut.

Schöne Lage, & schöne Zimmer mit Balkon. Wir hatten Landseite, das war ein schöner Blick ins Grüne und vom Balkon konnten wir das Meer sehen, toll! Das hat alles seinen Preis, das ist auch in Ordnung. Aber was für den Preis nicht entsprechend ist, ist das Frühstück und die Nachhaltigkeit. Das Frühstück ist gut, keine Frage, aber keine 4 Sterne. Und vegan und glutenfrei wollen sie nicht. Vernünftiges Müsli mit einer Körnerauswahl auch nicht. Es sind nirgendwo Allergene an den angemachten Salaten, am Pudding etc . Am zweiten Tag gab es als einziges veganen Milchreis, hurra ;-(. Es gibt glutenfrei abgepacktes Müsli und glutenfreie Haferflocken und nach langem Warten glutenfreies Brot. Zur Nachhaltigkeit: am hellichten, sonnigen Tag brennen in jedem Flur des Hotels alle Lampen. Wenn man das Zimmer betritt und den Strom mit der Karte anmacht, gehen alle Lampen im Zimmer an. Und auch nicht wieder aus. Nur die Nachttischlampen können separat geschaltet werden. Ebenso im Bad, viel indirekte Beleuchtung. Selbst der Schminkspiegel ist immer an. Keine Abdeckung auf dem beheizten Außenpool in der Nacht. Alle Handtücher werden täglich gewechselt, egal, ob sie auf dem Boden liegen oder nicht. Für mich ist all das ein Grund, nicht mehr zu kommen.

Wir waren nun zum zweiten mal in diesem Hotel und bestimmt nicht das letzte mal. Zum letzten Besuch hat sich der Service noch verbessert. Durchweg freundliches Personal die einem sofort weiterhelfen. Lademöglichkeit für E Autos in der Tiefgarage. Mega Frühstück mit allem was das Herz begehrt. Das Comfort Zimmer Meerblick ist groß mit einem tollen Bad.

Eines der schönsten Hotels, wir reisen viel, die wir jemals besucht haben. Die Ausstattung des Hotels ist Exzellenz. Der Service herausragend gut. Eine absolute Empfehlung für schöne, entspannende Tage und gutem Essen sowie Drinks an der Bar "hygge". Danke an das gesamte Team.

Das Hotel ist top. Zimmer mit Ausblick auf das Watt, unbezahlbar. Betten sind superbequem. Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend. Rundumservice sobald man durch die Tür kommt. Essen sehr lecker und das Frühstücksbuffet ist eine Wucht. Abends an der Bar ist auch mal Zeit für ein Schnack und die Cocktails schmecken. Wellnessprogramm ist Erholung pur. Da bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Obwohl das Hotel alles bietet gibt es keinen Dresscode.

Saubere, moderne Zimmer und Badezimmer, tolles Frühstück in absolut perfekter Lage mit schöner Pool-Sauna-Landschaft. Das Beste ist aber das unheimlich nette, freundliche Personal. Kompliment für das Management, wenn doch mal was schiefgeht!
