This hidden gem is exceptional! From the front desk staff to the bar staff to the cleaning staff…hats off to everyone! Super clean, super relaxing and fantastic food and drinks. Short two night stay but will definitely be back!

There is only room service upon request. Had asked for room services the 2nd night for a full clean and no one came. Had to call the front desk numerous times when they said they would have someone come at 3pm. House cleaning was a no show. They then told us later they don’t have anyone to do a full clean but would just give towels and trash bags for our trash. Room began to be messy during our stay. Also got charged incidental charges that were not mention when first checked in. The dryer on the 4th floor was out of service which was inconvenient. Towels also ran out at the pool. This place is only good to stay one night. No more than that if you want room service and things that are readily available.

Very nice hotel. Staff was all very friendly. We came in 20 minutes before restaurant closing and they were nice even though I knew they had to be tired. (We order quickly to go) Great rooms, great views and comfortable beds

Not a safe place to stay. Someone posing as a housekeeper was accessing rooms with a key at 11pm. Hotel moved her out when I called front desk but otherwise were unconcerned about security.
Was in bed and could hear housekeeping knocking on doors through the hall and entering rooms. It was around 11pm, I kept drifting off and heard her again. She knocked on my door at 11:15pm. I went to the door, annoyed. The woman was wearing a hotel uniform shirt and said she had to clean all these rooms. I told her this was ridiculous and called the front desk. Front desk said they had no housekeeper there now and he would send up security. I went back to bed and tried to sleep. The next day I asked about it at the front desk. No one knew what happened, no notes on the system they said. They also said that no housekeeper was working at night. I was told that a manager would look into it and they’d get back to me. I never heard from the manager even though I asked about it 3 separate times to different staff members at the front desk. When I checked out I was told the manager would phone me. That was several days ago and no call. Each time I asked about it the front desk employee told me that there was no housekeeper on duty. Each time I said that made it worse because I could clearly hear her entering multiple rooms that night. I slept the second night with the ironing board propped up against the door. Nice location. But not safe.

This H.I. Lumina Resort is a first-class property with a great location, easy parking, large and modern lobby, great pool area and access to the beach. It has a friendly and helpful staff with the renown southern hospitality.
The $33.00 per night resort fee is a b.s. add-on after a place will claim it offers "free" parking, wifi, etc. I wish states would better regulate the junk fee get-over corporate America has tagged on in order to appear to not be raising prices. Bogus charge, period.
