Delicious food, good view and courteous hospitality. Comfortable in my stay

We have used this hotel many times over the years. It’s very well situated for travellers due to its proximity to Calais. When sitting out on the terrace, or dining in the large conservatory, there are fine views over the fields down to St. Omer. The rooms are situated both in the main building and in chalets in the grounds and are clean and comfortable. The room has both nespresso machines and pods and bottled water. Since Monsieur Retaux became owner of the hotel, he has continued to improve facilities. We stayed in beautifully refurbished rooms inside the main building this year. He and his staff give very friendly service. We always look forward to our evening meals here. The menu features regional, seasonal produce, beautifully cooked and presented. We loved the home made desert choices. There is also a good wine list and we’ll stocked bar. We look forward to returning.

We should have visited La Sapiniere before today - we were not disappointed. Special mention for the glorious view and peaceful location and great service. A thoroughly enjoyable lunch - see you soon!

Rural location just off autoroute. Quiet nice grounds in village with historic abbey and walks. Excellent restaurant, good rooms in lodges. TV, en suite, fan (no air con), toiletries, Nespresso machine. Free WiFi. Very quiet at night. Blissful nights rest.

Lovely quiet spot. Restaurant looked superb but unfortunately is closed on a Sunday. They did provide a meal in the room.

The hotel is really well situated in a lovely quiet area but near to motorway. The room we had was lovely. Very spacious and comfortable. Breakfasts were good and the bar and garden area lovely for sitting in. Our first evening meal was included in our half board rate and was very good, the waitress was excellent. The second night was my husbands birthday so we upgraded to the more expensive dinner. This was a mistake, the starters were nice, but my lamb was cold and my husbands beef was tough. We asked for additional vegetables which were not provided, instead they removed the potatoes from the dish, so we asked again after the meat was served and it took some time for more vegetables to arrive, by which time we had eaten the cold/tough meat! So some aspects excellent and others definitely average

We had a lovely stay. Friendly staff and a fantastic evening meal in the restaurant. Ideal location for a short drive back to Calais.

Have stayed here for several years, but recently very well renovated and generally improved. Great , reasonably priced Menus, and wine Pleasant staff, English spoken if needed. And - only a mile from the final Peage on the A16, so perfect after crossing France all day

This was the first stop on our halfterm get away. Great accommodation in a chalet style room with kitchen facilities. Dog friendly. Just a shame we were only stopping 1 night. We will definitely stop again when we are driving into Europe. Friendly service.
