Albergo Allegria Hotel & Breakfast Restaurant

We enjoyed our stay at the Albergo Allegria, a family-run hotel in northern Catskills since the early 1980s. Even though it looks and feels like a traditional B&B, the breakfast is not included in the rate. Each evening we would pre-order what we wanted for breakfast the next day. Selections include 5 or 6 hot dishes, like eggs or waffles/pancakes. They also offer coffee cakes, banana breads, muesli, yogurt, granola, coffees and 50 varieties of tea from the Republic of Tea. Apparently the breakfast is also open to non-guests of the hotel. The food is freshly prepared and delicious. The staff is helpful and friendly. The historic building is clean and well maintained, updated with good wi-fi access. We had a king-sized bed in our room on the ground floor. They do not have an elevator so be prepared to carry luggage if not on ground floor. They also have rooms in other buildings too. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was clean and kept in good shape. They do not provide daily housekeeping. Ample and free parking is available. It seems like there are newer hotels springing up in Windham in the last few years. If you're looking for a comfortable traditional-like bed and breakfast environment with good food, you cannot go wrong here.

excellent quaint place very central location clean reasonably priced my new go to place they also offer a five star breakfast if you like or free coffee on the fly also surrounded by good eating places all around you won’t be disappointed great sightseeing all over the area

Staying there for over 20 years all seasons... always gourmet food... most delicious breakfasts ever tasted.... friendly professional staff Family friendly use of dining area for lunch and dinner if you want to bring in your own food Near great hiking at Black Dome or Black Head or to stroll on Windham Path within walking distance

Perfect innkeepers who know the meaning of hospitality! While the location is perfect- just a 5 minute drive to Windham Mountain - more important was the gracious hospitality of the entire staff who made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Our room was spacious yet felt so cozy and warm- everything was just perfect! We also couldn't wait to come down to their yummy breakfast every morning and enjoy endless cups of tea/coffee and homemade treats in front of the fire place was just a perfect way to end the day. We loved it so much we extended our stay another day. Thank you again to Maryann and everyone at Albergo Allefria - we are looking forward to coming back .

Awesome time again - we love this place. A warm welcome from hosts Leslie and Marianna. Beautiful inn - great public spaces to relax in. Convenient to slopes (ski trip), and local stores - excellent book store across the car park. Delicious breakfasts and snacks. Coffee available on return from slopes. our 4th stay - what more can we say! Highly recommend

Phenomenal Breakfast - prob one of the best breakfasts I’ve had….The staff is so kind and accommodating (We were a large group w small children) the chefs attention to detail and the flavors in all of her dishes were 10/10 even the hot chocolates were unique and unlike anything I’ve had before. She even made me a delicious & beautiful birthday cake that we all loved. Can’t wait to go back
