7A Ranch

7A Ranch was a great stay for our family! We loved the little old town and we loved to explore it. The kids had so much fun doing the scavenger hunt and looking through the museum. The river was just a walk down the hill so we pack out lunches and drinks for the day. The pool and cantina were great too! Overall a great place for a family trip!

We just held our family reunion at 7A over a weekend. Many of us grew up going to 7A. Some stayed in the Cantina cabins, Classic cabins, Cactus Lodge and Quad Cabin. Everyone loved their experience and want to come back for our next reunion! It was our first time to stay in one of the Cantina Cabins. Love the space and it was very clean! Only drawback in our opinion is not having a range/oven. It would make it hard to stay for a week and be able to cook a whole meal for a family. The pool is beautiful and the cantina is awesome. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The Blanco was still inviting as always even though it was low. Great place for a memorable experience in the beautiful Texas Hill Country!

I found this place by chance. And what a great chance- I took. My 2 sisters and I took my mom away for her 86th birthday and we had a great time! Take paper towels and take extra towels. We could have used both. The towels are not replenished and of course no paper towels... we were there 2 nights and no extra trash bags.. you get the hint. The river is warm, slippery and dangerous. The pool is warm and not dangerous. Overall, we had a great weekend. We went to Joleen's for dinner, went shopping Saturday... it was a great stay. Oh , we did the train ride on site too...it was quick but a great view of the valley and mountains. HARD to believe I was raised in Texas and just learning about these hidden gems.. Go!! and and enjoy. The pool bar has great prices than any local place in town!

Excellent location. I have been coming here since I was a little kid. a bit pricier but worth every penny. The cabins were cozy and cute, and the river was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. loved the ice cream parlor. Can't wait to go back!

Wonderful stay! From the jump every staff member was very kind and accommodating. Cabin was wonderful, clean, comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and cantina on property. It was so great being able to bring our fur babies, too. The entire property was perfect for our couples stay. We will definitely be back!

The 7A Ranch looks great in the photos taken, and the description of the resort is very welcoming. However, upon arrival, the overall condition of the resort is not up to par. The air conditioning in our lodge had to be repaired while we were there. Door and window glass was cracked and falling out in several places. The kitchen stoves, sink and cabinetry are very, very old and worn. The main front door and the two back doors could barely be opened by an adult, and were impossible for the small ones in our group to open and close and thus we continued to lose air conditioning and have flies. We tried to visit the Cantina, but it did not keep regular hours. There needed to be more furniture in the individual rooms to put belongings. The shining bright spot of our stay was the friendliness and professionalism of the staff to address our needs while we were there. The hill country is beautiful, and had the resort been a little better maintained, our stay would have been much improved.

This is a very cool place to vacation. There are lots of things to do for kids and adults. Close to town for a day of walking and shopping. The pioneer town has a lot of cool things to see especially if you like history. We will definitely consider going back.

I stayed in #13,#14——stay away! It’s not even glamping. My rooms (BOTH) had septic issues backing up, we were asked to leave our rooms (yes both) and told they knew they were having problems with these units by the maintenance crew. We felt dirty the entire time. Save your money and just go plain camping! Or go to Hotel Flora and Fauna, I’ve stayed there it’s amazing! We spent our hard earned money on what we thought was going to be a cute little cabin. Wrong! These particular units are gross!

The cabin with the 3 beds were perfect. The 2 rooms gave some privacy. The covered porch was very nice especially with the drizzling rain for some of the time. It was a great getaway!
