Absolutely amazing place! Immaculately clean boutique style rooms. They always look so fresh and new. Luxury linen gives a touch of class and nice extras such as Elemis shampoo and shower gel Food it absolutely fantastic too! Best sirloin I've ever had!

I cannot say enough about how great the Georgian House Hotel in Whitehaven is. I was fortunate enough, following a change in work, to find this incredible place and stay there on a number of occasions. The hotel is furnished to the highest possible standard by the owners, Steph and Lee, who in addition to be amazing hosts, work tirelessly behind the scenes to continually update the hotel so that it always looks fresh, contemporary and ultra high-end. It is a labour of love for Steph, Lee and their team, and you can tell the moment you walk in how much they care about their hotel and its guests. When, like me, you are frequently away from home, you want somewhere in which you can relax, be made to feel welcome, and sleep well. Steph and Lee have all of that covered. Then there is the restaurant. In addition to fantastic, clean, comfortable and modern bedrooms, not to forget the incredible ensuite bathrooms, the food served in the restaurant is out of this world. So, even if you don’t plan to stay in the Georgian when visiting Whitehaven, you should definitely try the restaurant. I have travelled to every corner of the UK and many places globally. I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels. I can honestly say that I have never stayed anywhere better than the Georgian. Unfortunately I no longer have a reason to regularly visit Whitehaven. But I will find a reason to return, and when I do, I’ll look forward to seeing Steph and Lee and the team again.

From first entering the Georgian Hotel we were met with a very polite waitress who guided us to the lounge where we had pre dinner drinks and then showed to our table for our meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our food with exceptional service from all front of house staff who were very attentive to all the customers.

Host was warm and welcoming, lovely conversation upon arrival and throughout my stay. I had a room and meal booked mid week and the staff looked after me completely throughout! The room was beautiful and cosy, with everything I needed. And the bed was very comfy! I didn't want to get out of it.

I have been staying in Whitehaven on business since Feb 23 and have made this hotel my 1st Choice as having tried many others none come close to this one. It has a great choice of food at both breakfast / dinner and all excellent quality. All rooms are well equipped / with modern en-suite facilities. Parking is only an issue if you want it to be. You can find cheaper! but it’s really not worth the saving I can assure you unless of course your budget can’t stretch which is always a factor especially during these times. But the service food and standard of accommodation really do make up for the small cost difference hence it’s my 1st Choice always but sadly not always available because it’s very good.

Been to the Georgian house hotel many times and always been impressed with the warm welcome and how well presented and polite the staff are. The restaurant was superbly decorated with Halloween theme we was booked for a 2hr window so no rush at all. Our order for drinks and meals were taken in the lounge bar where you can relax before being taken to your table. The service was good, meals served together no delay at all. We both had the Surf n Turf, 1 x Ribeye steak and 1 sirloin steak both done to perfection. Pleased we didn’t have starters as the mains are very filling. The meal was beautiful atmosphere excellent and service first class. Been to some classy restaurants in London and this venue is well up there if not better. Even the attention to detail in the toilets was exceptional Well done to the management and staff for another fantastic evening Thank you all

Lovely room, beautifully decorated and very clean.Comfortably bed with excellent room facilities -free Wi-Fi, tea coffee, nibbles, dressing gowns. Very large well equipped bathroom. Lovely restaurant with a varied menu for both breakfast and dinner. The staff were very friendly and courteous at all times.

Loved my stay at the Georgian House hotel! Beautiful room with a very comfortable bed, amazing shower, large TV, coffee machine, Elemis toiletries and a wonderful breakfast! Staff were friendly and attentive, overall an excellent experience and I would definitely return.

Always lovely to stay here. Unique large rooms. Very clean, amazing food (no restaurant on a Monday tho). The staff are friendly and very helpful. Very close to town and the train station. I have stayed here numerous times over the years. Tanks
