We spent six nights at this wonderful B&B, and cannot say enough lovely things about this B&B. The hosts, Sylvia and Dave, were very responsive to all my emails with questions about trip planning, which we very much appreciated. They provided some great recommendations for places to see, things to do, and hikes that we very much enjoyed. The room we stayed in, Acacia, was located off the lower deck. The bed was comfortable, and the ensuite bathroom was recently remodeled, clean, and the room was quiet. There was a small fridge in the room, and just outside our bedroom, was a deck with the most amazing view of the bay and Bruny Island off in the distance. In fact, one night, we had bought some take-away food nearby and enjoyed a dinner overlooking the bay. The sunsets were stunning. And on another evening we were able to catch a glimpse of the Aurora Australis. The photo of the Aurora Australis attached, is our armature picture from a cell phone which does not do it justice, but it was our first Aurora that we have seen. We also enjoyed the wallabies in the yard, as well as the flowers in the garden around the property. The breakfasts filled us up for most of the day, and included on different mornings, eggs, omelets, yogurt, waffles, and an assortment of homemade jams, toast and coffee. We are so appreciative of the lovely hospitality and the warm welcoming hosts, Dave and Sylvia. Thank you so much for six wonderful nights. We so much hope to return some day. One bit of caution when driving from the Hobart airport to the B&B at night - we did see many dead animals, (especially wallabies and possums), on the road that were hit by motorists, so allow extra time when travelling at night, to avoid hitting these lovely animals.
