Kay in Reception was very friendly and kind. Our room was clean and comfortable. Love cation was convenient for drive to City Center. All the appliances were in good working order. Bed was comfortable.

The room was exceptionally clean, spacious & nicely dark at night. Heat pump/air con in room. Location is excellent just a 5 minute drive to the city centre but you don’t have to drive as there are quite a few restaurants/takeaway places just a few metres away. Bit of street noise but not too bad.

This place is beautifully clean, amazing shower, comfortable bed. I wasn't disturbed by noise. There are light blocking curtains across the front of the studio, but light did come through the blind at the back. When i stayed it was really quiet i rented a room that had fridge, microwave, ironing board and iron. I would stay here again. Good value, very clean, felt safe. The entrance sign is a little obscured on Kamo Road, but is easy to find from the Kensington intersection. Turn on the road with the Kensington Tavern to access the property from the rear.

This was our first stay with this motel. We were very impressed. We were warmly welcomed after a horrendous drive up through a severe rainstorm. The hosts were very helpful. We stayed in a two bedroom unit and it was very spacious. The room was a wee bit dated but the hosts have recently installed many things such as new curtains, heatpumps etc. There was a well equipped kitchen, Sky TV, and a designated carpark for your unit. There was an outdoor pool which was splendid. Overall we loved our stay and we will return for sure.

Two nights at this very convenient motel. We had large studio, two rooms (double and single beds) and kitchen. Very hot when we arrived (hot days in Whangarei) but at night it was ok. No laundry service at the motel. Clean room, friendly hosts. Restaurants (very good Thai restaurant) within walking distance and shops (like New World) near by. When you visit Whangarei, we recommend to visit Hundertwasser Art Centre. There are many cafés and restaurant around the Centre - and interesting clock museum, too.

Happened to stay overnight at this motel & what a find it was! Conveniently located near the city, spotlessly clean with fresh modern decor & the gorgeous Scottish hosts Heather & Gordon are the icing on the cake👍. Super helpful & friendly, I feel like we’ve made new friends!! We’ll be back👍

This is a fantastic motel clean and fully refurbished. The owners are amazing and go above and beyond. Highly recommend staying here. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, and the pub across the street.

Booked an hour n half before check in Heather and Gordon were so friendly and welcoming very attentive and helpful nice rooms good size for 4 people. Nice area for pool an bbq, would highly recommend 😊

What a fantastic place to stay and Gordon and Heather were so friendly and helpful with our booking and overnight stay. The room was well presented and clean, with some added touches as well. The service was outstanding and I highly recommend it if you need a place to stay.
