Where do I begin? From the moment we arrived, we were totally impressed with Camp Figtree. The location is breath-taking, the food delicious and the staff are phenomenal. You really are transported to luxury in a heartbeat. We took advantage of a game drive to Addo Elephant Park with a member of staff, Lunghi (I hope I spelt his name correctly!) His knowledge of the wildlife (and where to find them) was outstanding. Simba, the Lodge manager couldn't do enough to help everyone. If we could give more than 5 stars, we would!

From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty at this well equiped lodge in the most beautiful setting.The tented chalets had all the amenities we needed,clean and very comfortable.The dinner and breakfast were prepared superbly and the staff were always eager to make us feel at home.What a great stay that is a must if you go to Addo.

My sister and I had a fabulous 3 night stay in one of the tents. The view is to die for - the sunsets are breathtaking. The food and service are excellent. We didn’t want to leave! We had a great half-day safari and then self-drove with some great tips from the staff as to where to find the different animals. Thank you to everyone for making our trip so special,

Chilly starfilled quiet nights, on top of a narrow ridge in the middle of nature- coming back to your room after a superb supper to find the bed turned back, the gas heater lit and water bottles in bed: an absolute silence when you sleep. Pure bliss for a weekend taking a break from a nonstop hectic lifestyle. Close to Addo, there is a lot to do (mountain biking, trail running and game drives) should the mood strike.

This trip was amazing! The view, the food, the game drive and the Elephant safari! It was al so beautiful! The staff is so sweet and they let you feel very welcome. We had a lovely time! The road to the camp is quite challenging, so be prepared. Thank you all!

A trip of a lifetime. It was such a beautiful place to stay and the staff couldnt have been more helpful. The views, the ambiance and the small touches made the stay perfect! The rooms can get a bit hot, but the fans made a difference and it was so beautiful, we did not mind.

We were picked up from PE Airport (and redelivered two days later) by the camp manager. This was fortunate as the 25 minute drive off the road up to the camp is quite challenging in an ordinary car. Once you get there the view is magnifient, including from your bath! The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. The dining room serves good food and has a good wine list. The camp manager and all the staff were most helpful throughout our stay. The game drive down to the Addo Park gave us a really close up experience of the elephants as well as seeing black rhino. All in all we would highly recommend Figtree.

During our trip to South Africa, we decided to go to Addo Elephant Park and wanted to stay somewhere nearby and chose Camp Figtree. This place exceeded expectations from 5* food and wine to the most beautiful plush tented rooms. The staff were all amazing too. Big shout out to Norma, who took us on Safari to Addo. Halfway through, she cooked a delicious braai, and we saw many fantastic animals. One piece of advice wpujx be to hire a 4×4 to get to Camp Figree as the road surface is very bumpy.

Camp Figtree is a unique experience set on the top of a mountain with stunning views and exceptional service. We stayed in the tent accommodation with all modern fittings making it more like a house and a bathroom with a view plus a private deck overlooking the valley. The food is wonderful as is the service. A real find. It’s quite a drive up the mountain to get here, not for the faint hearted and definitely better in a SUV which we did not have ! Worth the bumpy drive to experience this gem.
