Have to stay here for work from time to time. Wouldn’t come here by choice. Rooms very basic, old and tired. Constant noise of railway lines outside the window. Very limited facilities. Always guaranteed a somewhat depressing stay - but it is consistent!

If you are planning on staying here, please do not order the meal deal!! The restaurant is an absolute mess… looks lovely and newly refurbished but honestly I’ve never know such a mess. Over an hour of waiting I finally get my food from the lovely limited menu, food that I have looked at under the lamps for over 20 minutes whilst being told I need to wait. For my food to finally arrive cold and the bun as hard as nails, yay just what I wanted! According to the staff ‘no one is trained and they are struggling’, now I’ve got food poisoning screaming at me! No chef for cooked breakfast one day to only be told this when I ask… honestly it’s a mess and their answer is we will refund you one day’s breakfast out of four 😂 on the day we managed to get some hot food they had no mushrooms or milk. Apparently the manager brings it in… quite interesting. When the chef did come in I had the delight of bacon that was far from edible… fried egg was ok though as had just been cooked. Woohoo finally a win 🙌🏻😂 Just to confirm I was offered a refund of a breakfast. Thanks premier inn! Hotel is typical old style premier inn which I guess I can’t really complain about.

Being a person of colour, I believe I encountered an element of racism on my arrival at the welcome desk. The receptionist was quite unfriendly and abrupt with me on the get go. Seemed to give a lot of good customer service to the white couple seen before me. Mine was here's your room entry card.. then the corporate ... enjoy your stay

This is the worst prem inn we have stayed at what happened to the beefeater restaurant this one is awful the evening meal menu is so sparse compared to when it was beefeater the last time we stayed and the breakfast oh dear totally awful paid £10.99 each no scrambled no mushrooms no pastries no decaf coffee no brown bread the fried eggs were gloomy this has really gone down hill since the last time we stayed and definitely won't be staying again ruined our weekend

Fairly average place but is clean and has plenty of parking. Staff member Callum was very helpful and polite at check in. I didn't use the restaurant so can't comment on that but it looks like it doesn't have a bar as such just cans and bottle drinks with meals.

Had the meal deal x 2. Although not expecting Haute Cuisine the food and particularly the service was appalling. First night curry OK but just a couple of spoonful's of rice. Second night waited 1 hour and fifteen minutes for fish and chips (others waited longer for meals) which, when it finally came, looked like a supermarket ready meal plonked on the plate with no presentation whatsoever. Ordered a second drink and had to wait twenty minutes to be served. Overall incredibly disappointing.
