Crandell Mountain Lodge

Very clean room with comfortable king bed with a rustic wood bed frame, fireplace and jacuzzi tub, bathroom had newer shower/tub with good water pressure, sink area could use an update. No A/C but room was cool enough with overhead fan and open window at night; room had 2 additional fans that we did not need to use. Nicely decorated with lots of lamps. Coffee and tea service in room (with actual tea cups/teapot and tea cookies!), as well as microwave and bar fridge. Location convenient for walking anywhere in town, ample parking right in front of lodge and also available across the street at Kilmorey Lodge. No restaurant onsite but close to many dining options, 10% off coupon for breakfast at Kilmorey Lodge, but breakfast was underwhelming. Exterior could use updating, deck area and steps in rough shape, fortunately our room was cozy and comfortable. Would stay here again.

Much negative to say about this place. The room with 2 beds is too small to accommodate more than one suitcase, no wardrobe, no pegs, no room for a toilet kit in the bathroom. It is unfortunate as the rooms have been modernized and are nicely decorated. The rooms are not soundproof so bring earplugs for noisy neighbours. The kitchenette supplies were all filthy. The hotel relies on their guests to clean dishes, but no dish soap is provided and clearly the staff cannot be bothered to check. We reported it the next morning upon checking out with photos. I asked if there was coffee available as I had not wanted to use the filthy mugs in our room. I was told I could buy one at the restaurant!

We had an excellent stay at crandell mountain lodge, one of the best experiences of our lives, it was so well managed, clean and quiet, I wonder why some ppl had not so good experience. Their rates are very reaaonable and service is top notch. I would defnitely come back again and again. Its location is also very ideal. The veiw was excellent, thanks alot the management for your hospitality❤️

First night checking in wasn’t too bad . Noticed some dirt/garbage under the table. But wasn’t bad .. second night we went to bed and heard mice crawling around in the upper walls of bedrooms. Got up the next morning and moved the couch in living room and seen a mouse trap with poop around it . I went and told front desk our problems . The young lady said they will have someone come change the mouse traps , it’s an old building and that’s all they can do right now … we went back that evening. They didn’t change the trap, they didn’t clean the poop .. they placed 2 extra traps around different parts of the room. Very dirty place to stay.. the 80 years old excuse just don’t justify how dirty this place was. I told the guy at check out to make sure it actually gets cleaned before the next guest arrived.

We enjoyed our 1-day Stay at Crandell Mountain Lodge & expecting to visit again coming Summer, provided we get for afordable rate(s)

The lodge appears rustic on the outside, but after multiple different visits can report the rooms are well maintained, updated and clean. Conveniently located with friendly and helpful staff. Really like this property.

We splurged for the room with the very fancy bed. Turned out the fireplace is just for show and does not work. There was no television. The cobweb noted by another guest was still there. The food was as pricey as noted by others. The fancy bed, though, was as conformable as it was beautiful. We slept incredibly well.

The room was very clean and quiet. Food at the kilmorey which is same owners was perfect. Just a great place to stay

Decent stay overall for the price paid, however some issues were the floor was a bit sticky, the bright light from digital clock on the microwave was uncomfortable to sleep with on and couldn't figure out how to turn it off, and the fireplace was a bit loud to sleep with on and took a while to shut off when we did turn off the heat.
