Swann House

We had a wonderful stay at the Swann House. The staff was excellent, the rooms were charming, and the company at the breakfast table was always enjoyable. For many years we have stayed at B&Bs when we visit DC for work and sightseeing (at least twice a year) and the Swann House is one of the best we've found.

Swann's House is a nice quaint B&B. The staff Catlyn and Rico make you feel very welcome and all your accommodations are met. Rico was even nice enough to call.us on our cell.phones to insure we made it to our destination. I would give this place a 5 star. Pay for the parking, we were parked in the front and never had to move our car. Well worth it. Room 6 was very nice.

This is a beautiful and unique place to stay. The decor was really fun! The staff was wonderful and friendly. We stayed in Room 6, which is on the third floor and the bathroom is in the turret. The room was very clean and well decorated. The king size bed was perfectly comfortable. The only issue was the bathroom. It's absolutely gorgeous and I couldn't wait to try the claw-foot tub/shower. Two issues: one, it's very difficult to get in and out of the tub. There is nothing to grab onto and the tub is quite high off the floor. Two, there's no door, just a curtain. That was a bit strange. Breakfast was self-serve continental and it was very nice. It was nothing really special but it was fine. I had no issue with this as I'm not a "breakfast person". There are lots of common spaces to sit and have a conversation or read a book, both indoor and out. The pool is very small, but it was a pretty set up. I would never have even expected a pool. One thing to note, lots of stairs. There are very steep stairs just to get to the inn and once inside, more stairs to get to your room. We had no problem with this, but it's something to be aware of if you have any mobility issues. We look forward to returning!

My wife and I had an excellent stay at Swann House. We stayed there before but it has been renovated since and the interior is bright and cheerful. Kalin, the on-site manager, was helpful. The location is a good one for us, and not far from the Dupont Circle Metro stop. We will stay there again.

I found SH thru a random search and it was the best! Amazing accommodations, comfy beds, incredible staff, and lovely breakfast. The 24/7 coffee bar was an unexpected perk. If you are on the fence, go ahead and book. You won’t be disappointed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just lovely- beautiful rooms, welcoming common spaces and a perfect location- walking distance to Metro, neighborhood dining and shopping. Was on a business trip and set myself up in the Solarium for a few hours with coffee and emails and could not have been more pleased.
