One of the most disappointing hotel stays in recent memory. Arriving in the evening after a cross-country flight, my family and i noticed some insect activity in the kitchenette area. I immediately notified the front desk the following morning, asking for a room change. I was told a room change was not possible as the hotel was fully booked, but that they would send someone from housekeeping to address the issue that day. I couldn’t tell you if anyone from housekeeping actually did come, but by night time, there were cockroaches all over our two bedroom suite- in my child’s lunch box, in the bed, on the walls (see pics). Given the volume of bugs, it is simply implausible that hotel management did not already know about this issue. We checked out after night two and moved to a different property. At no point did either the hotel general manager or Marriott corporate reach out to apologize or compensate us for our awful experience. This is not how you treat a platinum elite member. I will think long and hard before considering using Marriott again.
