Burrator Inn

Ok lunch, food quality is what you expect from a pub. Several items unavailable on lunch menu. Staff could do with some customer service training. Good location and parking is available. Other customers made it a good environment, happy and chatty.

Awful customer service. Upon arrival we were greeted by a guy who claimed to be the duty manager with a rude and abrupt attitude. Waited over a hour for food, and very disappointed once food arrived. Very overpriced and small portions. After complaining we didn’t receive any apologies, I asked for free dessert for the children. This was then over half a hour Wait to complain again to be told the chef got stuck in the freezer!! No one came out to apologise of the delays. The ice cream never turned up! We left very dissatisfied and won’t be returning or recommending this place. Staff need training up on customer service.

Absolutely beautiful food! Brilliant service, really comfy seating and chilled out atmosphere and great area to bring your dog after a brisk walk on the moors - will be returning! P.s pork belly bites are to die for and the pie was really yummy! Everyone enjoyed their meal

Stopped for a lunch. Not offered the £11 menu. Only had soup and a sandwich. Brought the wrong thing first time round, the soup as then cold when we got it. Retirned it and they said I thought it might be! Awful waste of money, will not be back in a hurry. So disappointing..

Booked in for one night and wished we could have stayed a week. We were made extremely welcome by Mike and his staff, excellent food for evening meal and breakfast. A good large room with comfortable king size bed and all the bits and pieces. Good shower and fast broadband. Lots of thoughtful touches. Great location for the national park and even though the weather was very much against us, we managed a short walk at the reservoir and went on to explore Tavistock a little later. Will definitely visit again and explore the area further.

Chose Burrator Inn as a stop for some exploration of Dartmoor on the way to a holiday in Cornwall and couldn't have been happier with our choice. A clean, spacious room, which, as it was at the rear of the property, was exceptionally quiet and had the bonus of an equally spacious bathroom. The beer garden and a well stocked bar was very welcome after exploring the local reservoir area. The food, especially the prawn and crab linguine, was excellent, the staff were friendly and attentive and a decent breakfast set us up for the drive south. Would definitely return.
