Mermaid Hotel & Club

An amazing hotel situated in front of the beach where you will have amazing sunsets. Thank you for the yoga classes that were excellent! Rooms are spacious, clean and the staff is very friendly! It was a real pleasure! Thanks to all! Big up to the Chef and his team! Everything was so delicious!

Waiting for our taxi to take us to Colombo airport so thought it a good idea to write this report before this holiday fades . First time to Sri Lanka although we have been to some of the Indian Ocean islands . We weren’t disappointed with either the hotel or country . It’s a fantastic if at sometimes chaotic country to visit . We were in room 260 which has a good view of the ocean and the rooms were very clean and spacious . Our housekeeper who has been working for the hotel for 31 years was brilliant . His name was Niahl always with a smile and he took pride in his work . Thank you Niahl . His line manager Kusalria was also very approachable . Although the hotel was tired in parts the location was stunning - a large garden area backing on to the beach . The strength of the hotel is its work force who are incredibly diligent and hard working - nothing was ever too much trouble . In the restaurant there is a mix of foods although understandably it’s mainly curries or Sri Lankan food . The waiters are so attentive and I would personally like to thank Mahinra , Saman , Cheeky Boy ( he is excellent with his understanding of English and the customs and Wasantha . Trips are worth undertaking and we made use of the Mercury rep who organised a fantastic couple of days out seeing some incredible parts of the island . Please take the opportunity as there is so much to see . There are two pools on site - the main one and a games one - both very well maintained . I was however able to go into the sea on most days - a strong current but perfectly accessible if you are sensible . Finally the biggest thanks must go to Shivi and his understudy in the sports department . As a retired PE teacher I so much enjoyed what was on offer - every day was varied and such good fun . During the week we were involved in water volleyball , table tennis , boule and of course cricket . There were other activities but more suited to fitter and younger people . Thank you Shivi keep on with the good work . Sorry I didn’t get the chance to say thank you - it rained heavily and you were doing a cycling course on our last full day .

Mr.Denuwan Dewthilina est vraiment fait en élastique pas nous à 65 ans très professionnel et compétant Cet hôtel est taille humaine et on mange très bien et les gens très accueillant et sourillant Marie et corinne de France

Tous was good star at hôtel André we got warm welcome from front office staff Thanuja and Wimukthi...all staff vers friebdly spéciales front office staff and food Was Amazon.we Will visit again

Beautiful and a serene Property at Wadduwa ! Special thanks to Mr.Thomas for arranging a memorable stay with my family . He was really kind and made sure everything is smooth during our trip . The rooms were spacious with a stunning view . Food was also great 😊 The spread was really nice . Mostly the welcome drink was very refreshing. Mostly we loved the environment here which was so calm by the sea side . We enjoyed doing many activities at the hotel . Denuwan was very supportive motivating us. Myself and my sister did Yoga in the morning. Denuwan did a great job . He helped us to do some amazing exercises and some technics which was very useful for our day to day routine . Anxielle (if im not mistaken ) was really pleasant . She helped us in our activities we did . Overall we had a superb experience. Thank you to Mr.Thomas and his team for the exceptional service offered.

We came for our honeymoon and this was fabulous stay out there and we got warm welcome from front office and specially Thanuja she gave remendous welcome and overall very pleasent stay
