Turyaa Kalutara

Fantastic hotel with great pools but even better it's right on one of the prettiest beaches in Sri Lanka. You can walk for miles talk to the locals and even have a fish with them. Great restaurants in tok tok range and some fantastic History to be seen and experience in Kalutara.

Our stay at Turyaaa was absolutely incredible! The rooms were huge and had the most beautiful ocean views and the sunsets were stunning. The staff were super friendly, and Dharmadasa’s morning yoga class was amazing. He also gave us a personal assisted stretching and sports massage which was incredible, and it was a great way to start the day. We highly recommend it!

A very good hotel situated at a very good location right in front of the beach. The rooms were spacious with a balcony, A/C, safe locker, mini fridge, TV, nice hot shower, etc all very well equipped with wifi. The restaurant was very good and as we were five adults and all vegetarians the staff looked after us and met our needs especially Shyamalee (F&B Manager), Jayantha (F&B Exec), Lakmal, Shane (Chef), Chanduni, Ruwanthika. The housekeeping staff Kolitha was very helpful as well as Poojan at the Reception. Also, the staff at the Plunge Bar and the Bar near the other poolside were very helpful. The gardens were very beautiful and there were ample deck chairs by the poolside as well as in the gardens. We were all on an “All Inclusive” basis so, the only downside about the Restaurant was that we had to pay for the wine with our meal which I think is not right. Also, at the Bar we had to pay for the Pina Colada which should be included in the “All Inclusive”. Furthermore, the restaurant had an Espresso Coffee machine for Capuccino, Latte, Espresso, etc and again you had to pay for it, why? In fact, there should have been more of these machines located at several sites including one in the lobby where when relaxing you can help yourself. And, would have preferred biscuits with tea and coffee. I had also discussed these grievances with Mr Jayantha the F&B Exec at the Plunge Bar. Other than that, we were very well looked after. Thank you.

Friendly staff, great service, spacious rooms with beautiful sea views, and authentic meals. From the check-in to check-out the staff was ready to help with any request and were more than willing to make the trip more memorable to the guests. Mr. Thushara from the front desk welcomed us and showed us around the hotel initially and assisted us readily with everything whenever we called the front desk. He and his team were the cherry on the top of this memorable trip. Rooms had picturesque sea view and very clean. Both swimming pools were clean and safe (Tip: the pool near the front desk was less crowded) Pub was great, the barman made great cocktails! Gym had all the basic equipment and a superb trainer, Mr Darmadasa. Special thanks to Manager Mr. Thushara, team and all the staff members for going above and beyond and making our trip unforgettable!

I have not had bad experiences at Aitken Spence Hotels.This is the fourth hotel I had visited in this chain. Turyaa provides great value for money. Friendly service. They even provided me the room service even at midnight due to an emergency. There was a good spread in the buffet. Food was delicious. The room we stayed had a sea view which was so nice. There were two swimming pools and all other amenities that a hotel should have. We enjoyed our stay very much.

I had a wonderful stay at Turyaa. The rooms were spacious and elegantly appointed, offering breathtaking views that enhanced the overall experience. I particularly enjoyed the pools, especially the uniquely shaped one, which added a playful touch to my relaxation. The staff at Turyaa were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making my stay even more enjoyable. I would like to commend Miss Ruwanthika for her exceptional service, as well as Front Office Manager Mr. Thushara and Kitchen Chef Gihan for their remarkable hospitality. The bar team also provided excellent service, contributing to a memorable stay. Overall, my experience at Turyaa was delightful, and I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a luxurious and accommodating getaway.
