Unfortunately, we had a very unhappy experience when we stayed at Feel Like Home. Before booking, I asked the owner if there would be enough space for 6 people. We said we were happy to sleep on mattresses on the floor, or on couches. The owner told us there would be, so we booked - quite a hefty price by the standards of India too. When we arrived, we were given two rooms with two beds, and we were refused any option of mattresses, despite me showing messages with the owner. We only booked this place because we were told we would have 6 mattresses, and we all had to sleep three to a bed, in a dirty room full of mosquitoes without adequate bedding. The next morning, when we paid, they refused to give us any change. Later that day, we asked for some help getting a local SIM. I understand that this is a big ask, however they seemed happy to oblige. We were then stood up, and waited hours at the phone shop for them. They kept telling us they were coming, and never showed. I get that this is a big ask, but I would have appreciated them saying no, rather than pretending to help, just to waste our time. I gave a very fair and honest review on ***********, and the owners response was full of lies and deceit. He claimed that they had offered us the mattresses, and that we had refused them - why would we refuse the mattresses he had agreed to give us? He claimed that we were trying to break local law by getting the SIM - if this is true, then why would he not just tell us that he couldn't help? Why pretend to help in order to waste our time? He also complained about the arrival time, despite knowing what time we were arriving when I initially booked. If it was such an issue, why not raise it at the time? The location was good, however the shockingly low quality of the accommodation and the dishonesty of the owner ruined the experience for us.
