The positives: room was clean, breakfast is excellent, staff is friendly, free WIFI, nice outdoor seating area. The negatives: horrible location right on a busy highway that creates noise and bad air quality. Staff is not well trained - they sent us to a lunch restaurant that is only open for dinner (good concierge would check online first). The website information is inaccurate. One is supposed to get a welcome drink at the bar - but this is not available. Worse, the website says the front desk is staffed until 11 but when we checked in we were told they would be shutting down at 10. Our colleagues had a car breakdown issue and the front desk blithely informed us that we would have to stay awake and let our colleagues in whenever they arrived. Really? The paying guests have to take over the front desk duties? Especially for a hotel on a highway that caters to business travelers, there needs to be a Plan B for those who unexpectedly arrive late.

This is easily the one of the most comfortable rooms I’ve ever stayed in. I wasn’t sure about the location as it isn’t the prettiest but I was so comfortable it didn’t matter. It was a 15 min walk (with luggage) to the train station and about the same into the centre. The person at reception was lovely. There was a train strike and I asked if we could stay another day and she was very helpful with that. The rooms were really clean and the bed comfortable. The shower worked well and had hot water and good water pressure. There was space to hang coats and things. I found the room temperature great and when the cloud was gone, we had lovely mountain views. It was so quiet. Really enjoyed this hotel and would recommend. There are also two supermarkets nearby. Great value!

The negatives: horrible location right on a busy highway that creates noise and bad air quality. Staff is not well trained - they sent us to a lunch restaurant that is only open for dinner (good concierge would check online first). The website information is inaccurate. One is supposed to get a welcome drink at the bar - but this is not available. Worse, the website says the front desk is staffed until 11 but when we checked in we were told they would be shutting down at 10. Our colleagues had a car breakdown issue and the front desk blithely informed us that we would have to stay awake and let our colleagues in whenever they arrived. Really? This is easily the one of the most comfortable rooms I’ve ever stayed in. I wasn’t sure about the location as it isn’t the prettiest but I was so comfortable it didn’t matter. It was a 15 min walk (with luggage) to the train station and about the same into the centre. The person at reception was lovely. There was a train strike and I asked if we could stay another day and she was very helpful with that. The rooms were really clean and the bed comfortable. The shower worked well and had hot water and good water pressure. There was space to hang coats and things. I found the room temperature great and when the cloud was gone, we had lovely mountain views. It was so quiet. Really enjoyed this hotel and would recommend. There are also two supermarkets nearby. Great value!
