7 DAYS PREMIUM HOTEL VIENNA - SOUTH

Very strange place. Reception on the 3rd floor, combined with a bar that looked like a closed one. Poor breakfast - eggs were simply inedible :( only 2 elevators so it took ages to get somewhere (we wre using stairs from 8th floor). Not bad location if you are planning further trip (close to highway)

Room- The room was renovated 3 years ago and seems VERY new which was a big plus. However: NO fridge/minibar, NO phone in room , NO table, NO chair, NO couch/sofa, NO closet (hangers available), NO English Channel on TV. NO Netflix (even though there’s a Netflix button on the remote control). Air conditioner worked fine (cooling). Drapes managed to block outside light in by about 90%. Wi-Fi- Wi-Fi was at a low quality and speed and disconnected much of the time. Hotel area- It’s difficult to locate the hotel from the street and there’s no easy visible sign. You enter through a passageway in the middle of a big building. The reception is located on 3rd floor. The rooms are on the floors above. Area- Billa plus supermarket nearby. Early check in- My experience in travelling around the world has shown that usually (in the large majority of the times), when arriving early, if the hotel has an available room they would let you in for free and not delay you until the normal check in time. I arrived at about 7 AM and asked to check in early. They had a room but requested an additional payment for this which made the deal for this hotel, which is not centrally located, less worthwhile. I wrote them beforehand that I request an early check in. It seems they sent a message about this which wasn’t received. (Had I known this in advance I most probably would have chosen a better hotel option (one that was more expensive but at a better location). Getting to town and airport- To get to town by public transport you can take a 10 minute walk to the number 1 tram on Windtenstrasse, that takes you to Karlsplatz station. From there you can take other forms of transportation like various U bahn routes. A taxi to/from the airport cost on Bolt €34.50. If you’re one person you can save by taking public transportation (or even a taxi) to the S7 train to the airport Tip: Save money- don’t take the CAT airport train (costs €14.50). Use the S7 airport train which does the same route to Wien Mitte station, (only 9 minutes more) and costs only €4.30. Btw, Some of this cost (S7 only) can be saved when purchasing a 24/48/72 hour transportation ticket. Breakfast- Relatively nice breakfast for a 3 star hotel: Eggs scrambled but precooked, cooked 3/5 minute eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, jams, buns, plain croissants, yellow cheeses, meat like salami and schinken, fruit salad, some fruit, coffee machine, tea, cold drink machine, some cereals and yoghurt. We have stayed at the Campanile Vienna South from April 29 th to May 2nd (long weekend), we have seen about 4 or 5 people at reception and they were all super friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was fabulous, very clean and comfortable, common spaces very welcoming and for those who want to bring their pet, the hotel is pet friendly! The hotel has an easy access to the city centre with tram number 1 in only 15 minutes. We would definitely stay there again next time we come to Vienna!

I would kindly recoomend this place to anyone who wants to stay in a more than decent place and also to pay low prices. Everything was clean, the room and bathroom were actually cleaned everyday. The beds are comfy, there's room for the clothes and luggage. The sower is very practical and there's an amazing soap and shower gel. The view is also nice. The staff is very kind and always helps with all kind of information and requests. It's a safe place and it's only 5 minutes far from the tram 1 station, which goes all the way to the center of the city. Billa, Hofer and Lidl are also located near the hotel. It's a place I would go back to, because it's a great deal.

El hotel no responde a las expectativas mínimas. Habitaciones muy básicas. Zona de desayunos sin capacidad para el volumen de viajeros. Se agota la cubertería y no la reponen. Ascensores insuficientes, más aún teniendo la recepción en el tercer piso. Positivo: desayunos adecuados, camas muy cómodas

Fantastico, piacevolissimo week-end nella bellissima Vienna, primo viaggio di coppia da 5 stelle in questo fantastico hotel. Camere pulite, calde, personale gentilissimo. Ottimale anche la posizione. Ci torneremo!!! Ci torneremo!
