We chose and booked NH Venezia Santa Lucia mainly because of its location. However, when we arrived for check in, they informed us there was no room and we had to be re-located to NH Venezia Rio Novo which was quite a distance away. The email which was sent to us was only about leas than 2 days before our check in, and we did not know about it as we were travelling already and did not have time to check our emails. If we had known earlier, we would definitely made a cancellation and book for another accommodation as we really wanted a hotel which is very convenient and very close to the train station. Hence, the reason why we chose NH Venezia Santa Lucia in the first place.
We were really disappointed with the team at NH Venezia Santa Lucia. We were also not offered a complimentary Porter service to assist with our luggage to NH Venezia Rio Novo, which made the whole experience more upsetting.
We hope we could get a clarification from the management, as to why we were relocated to another hotel at the very last minute, even though we had made the reservation booking way in advance.
