Cà Del Tentor

We had a completely outstanding visit at the B&B Ca' del Tentor from May 13-16, 2024. We did considerable research choosing this property. We found it was a small independent and traditional B&B, not an airB&B. We wanted not too expensive, not to cheap. We planned to only sleep in the room, so small was not a problem (although we did request the largest room #2). We needed it to be close to San Polo and Canaregio. It was also a very short walk from the Alilaguna ferry stop at San Stae. Close to Rialto, not too close to Rialto. Food and wine paradise in all directions. We decided to book directly with the B&B about 5 months in advance. I was very comfortable with their website, deposit process, and emailed status updates. Balance payment was automatic a week before arrival. The host responded with quick text communications and allowed us early check-in. First impressions were clean, adequate size, and resembling the photos. We dumped the bags, wasting no time exploring. First night was a comfortable mattress, and cross-breeze with windows slightly open. Breakfast and espressos were served by a very friendly attendant (wish I could remember her name). We had to take a peek at the rooftop deck. All 3 breakfasts had the same choices, but there were enough choices to allow us to make each day different enough. When we returned to room late on day 2, we found it freshened up just like check-in time, We came up with an (impractical) idea for a photographer for our last full day, and we texted our host for a recommendation. While he researched he suggested we try his father’s restaurant nearby (I believe it’s Ostaria al Garanghelo), and it was excellent. For this last day, our host had arranged for a friend who was an amateur (but experienced) photographer for an hour shoot in the area. He decided to join us as well so we could all meet. It was a special last minute event and we could not believe the extra time and effort that he provided us. We highly recommend this B&B will definitely return here for our next Venice visit.

We stayed here for one night and it was the biggest mistake of our lives!! We thought this place was a bed and breakfast style accommodation but it was worst than a hostel. The rooms are so close to each other we could hear the people next to us talking until 3am. There is no privacy. There was no reception or anyone at the front to assist with any issues we encountered during our stay. As soon as we walked in the room immediately we sent a message to the staff letting them know the room felt very cold. We touched the heaters they were not on. They emailed us back saying we have no control over the heater- it turns on and off to keep the room at 23 celsius. The room felt more like 16 celsius! Believing them, We came back later that evening and the room was even COLDER! When we reached out to them via email and phone, we were ignored until the next morning (our check out day). We sent them emails every hour of the night, because we had zero sleep. So they have proof that we lost our sleep completely, and we had to cancel our travel plans for that day because we were so exhausted (the trip was a complete financial loss, as well as time we lost!!!). We asked them for the LEAST thing they can do to make this right which is refund us for the night (this is the least they could have done, not the FAIR thing to do, because what's fair was to compensate us for our lost travel day!!!). We got a response from a "Federica" saying we will only refund you the €6 euro tourist feel!!! We found this appalling girl waiting for us outside of the room, and in fact as soon as she came in, she touched the heaters and confirmed the heaters were COMPLETELY SHUT OFFI!!! She even said the noisy people's room next to us is warm, and it looks like they will need to bring a technician in to fix the problem. Obviously after confirming it was a heater failure on their end, we expected a full refund (the least they can do to make up for a ruined night of no sleep and a waste of a day for us!). Instead, we received an email stating they will only refund us 50% because we "used their facilities." !!!!!!!! They kept explaining that was the fair" thing to do since we used their "bed sheets and towels"!!!! And that “things like heater failures happen” and oh well we are expected to be okay with going without sleep!!!!!! I read an older review on google today that complained of the same issue (don’t expect a fair refund when things go wrong). I have no words to describe this pathetic hostel disguised as a bed and breakfast. At least hostels have receptions. They also had spiders crawling on the walls, which was at that time the least of our worries with the freezing cold room. Avoid this place, these people are out of their minds! No privacy! Extremely noisy! Unsanitary! Extremely tiny rooms! Unprofessional, nasty staff who kept hanging up the phone on us. There are so many better places to stay out in Venice for almost the same price, get yourself a REAL hotel room and enjoy y

The B&B was completely renovated with very trendy decoration. You almost didn’t feel you were staying at a B&B. Breakfast was very good with a very nice lady (Alessie) that made us fresh coffee and was very attentive. Room was clean, with AC, perfect bed, perfect bathroom, just as shown in the pictures. Excellent communication with management via WhatsApp. They even let us keep our luggage at the hotel after checkout so we could keep doing more tourism during the day. Thank you for making our stay an enjoyable one!

Central location, short walk from railway station and key attractions; very spacious, quiet and clean. Breakfast included and was plentiful, fresh and delicious each day. Owner of the property was very warm, friendly and helpful. Nothing to dislike at all

Perfekt erreichbar mit der orangen alilaguna Linie vom Flughafen liegt das B&B ca. 3 Gehminuten von der Haltestelle San Stae entfernt. Das B&b hat 4 Zimmer und ich hatte nr3, eines der größeren. Das Zimmer war super sauber, mit einem großen Kleiderschrank und Bett ausgeststtet und einem schönen kleinen Bad. Das Frühstück wird von Alessia frisch gemacht, man sitzt mit den anderen Gästen am Essplatz. Es gibt cornetti, ctepes, Müsli, obstsalat, joghurt, Käse marmelade, und immer gab es einen tollen frischen Kuchen. Die Lage fand ich sehr gut, ruhig aber dennoch ist man mittendrin. Ich würde wieder komme.

Bellissima struttura, camera comoda, pulita, calda e con bagno di design super moderna... Una splendida coccola al mattino svegliarsi e trovare il tavolo imbandito con succhi, croissant, yogurt, torta fatta in casa e tanto altro. Grazie io e mia nipote siamo stati benissimo e speriamo di ritornarci presto.

Trovato sui classici motori di ricerca abbiamo prenotato in questa struttura. La posizione è comoda perché non è distante dalla stazione ( 10 minuti di camminata) e non distante dal Ponte di Rialto. Le camere sono confortevoli, ben curate e pulite, dotate di Wi-Fi e con Tv abilitata a Netflix. Il personale è stato molto disponibile fin dalla prenotazione e fino alla nostra partenza. (questo non è da tutti) In ultimo, nonostante le restrizioni del C19 non permettessero di fare colazione all’interno della struttura, hanno dato la possibilità di farla ugualmente in un bar vicino. (qualità colazione buona). Per concludere, non distante anche il vaporetto che, per chi non ha voglia di camminare, porta sia alla stazione che a Piazza S. Marco. Andrea

La collocazione piu' o meno a meta' tra stazione dei treni e Piazza San Marco consente di muoversi bene per la citta'. La zona e' tranquilla. La struttura pulita, moderna e bene arredata. Gli spazi un po' stretti (del resto siamo a Venezia in Centro), ma ottimamente sfruttati, non comodissimo il materasso. La zona colazione e' organizatissima. In frigo ogni ben di Dio per la colazione, che alla fine ci siamo autogestiti ( la titolare non era presente, ma al telefono si e' fatta trovare pronta per ogni esigenza ) senza nessun problema. Rapporto qualita'/prezzo sicuramente interessante. Da tenere presente per una vacanza a Venezia.

Resumen: el representante del alojamiento es Maurizio Papa, empresario que le da igual como estés, para él le gestión económica de sus locales es lo que le importa, no va a preocuparse en absoluto de tu tranquilidad ni felicidad, ahora si quieres saber porque lo digo lee...no suelo escribir muchas opiniones pero esta lo voy hacer porque quiero dar un consejo, tómalo o déjalo pero prefiero comentarlo, preguntar siempre una semana antes de ir si vuestra reserva está correcta. Mi caso, dos años con la reserva y por el Covid nos anularon la reserva, recibí un voucher de Maurizio Papa (representante del alojamiento) porque no quería devolver el dinero. En enero, pensando que en septiembre se podría viajar a Venecia, hablé con Maurizio para consumir su voucher y concretamos la estancia del 11 al 14 de septiembre; el 10 de septiembre, tras varios correo de confirmación y de consulta sobre el estado dell Covid en Venecia, que por cierto, tengo guardados, se me ocurre volver a preguntar si está todo ok en Italia para ir, Maurizio me contesta que no hemos pagado la reserva y no tenemos alojamiento, tras varios correos y capturas de pantalla enviadas para mostrarle sus propios correos de confirmación, me repite que Booking le ha quitado el dinero, total, le llamamos y tras varios minutos, conseguimos hacerle entender que se está confundiendo de personas (hasta le mandamos el cobro bancario de 418 euros sobre Ca Tentor)...pensando que ya estaba todo ok, nos vuelve a decir que aún así, no tenemos habitación y que nos reubica en unos apartamentos también que él representa, según él mejor y nos llegó a decir que debería cobrarnos más, en cambio, nosotros no encontramos diferencia porque nunca conocimos Ca Tentor y no queríamos esos apartamentos, encima nos quedamos sin desayuno que sí teníamos contratado y no nos compensó de ninguna manera y tampoco admitió que existía la posibilidad de devolver el dinero. Los apartamentos son Charming Palace Corte de Teatro, también por Rialto. Total, que como tengas un problema con los locales de Maurizio Papa, olvidate de que te ayude, le va a dar igual, tu paga y como si quieres no ir.
